Nice course

Enjoy the course overall. Generally well manicured.

Bag staff/starter - very friendly, easy to deal with (shout out to Pedro and Bob). Pro shop staff - not very friendly.

Will come back when in the area.

Need to make repairs.

Pace and staff were good, we played in just under 5 hours which includes hiding under a tree for 20-30 minutes for a rain delay. Getting drinks and snacks before the round and during the turn was a little slow as it appeared only 1 person was working the restaurant/bar. Main issue is all of the bad patches of grass in the greens and bare spots on the fairway. We had to move balls on the fairways and greens several times to avoid hitting on or putting through the bad spots. Don't know if there is a valid cause (Cold winter temps) but other courses we played didn't seem to have issues. Would not recommend since you can pay similar rates in the area without the dead patches. If they bring all the grass back to life it would definitely be a nice course to play with challenging greens.

Great staff

Got us on the course early. Allowed enough time between golfers so you didn't feel crowded and rushed. Course is in reasonably good condition.

2 edged sword

In a nutshell, great layout, sketchy conditions.

The first half of the front nine appeared that only the grass was cut, but absolutely no other maintenance was done.

as an example, on one of the first 5 holes (don't recall specifically(), the sandtrap where handicap 15's will be in was FULL of leaves, and there had been no rain or storms in the preceeding 4 days we were there. so why?

many, many dead spots on fairways and on several greens.

The back nine was better, so perhaps thats the "renovation" process.

The greens were "fun"? but might have been missing the clown's mouth on some on the back nine.

I'd say pay the extra money on Celebration or Orange County National if you want your peeps to have a happy day of golf.

Hugh greens

First time playing. Hugh greens with mounds and varying undulations making it difficult to read putts and judge speed. 3 and 4 putted on 20% of the greens. Unfortunately 80% of the greens had burnt out sections. Plenty of waste bunker sand.

2nd time playing here as a local, absolutely worth the money compared to other courses around here as a resident. That being said greens are in pretty bad shape, i give them a 2/5, extremely slow and a lot of dead areas. Layout of the course is awesome, with some challenging features to navigate around. Not your typical florida wide open fairways on every hole. Also havent seen a cart girl once in the two times we played here. Overall id rate this place 3.8/5 stars. Not worth the 120 pricetag but a good deal for 80 peak season

Terrible shape for the price

This course should be ashamed of itself charging $150.00 US dollars. The fairways are thin and every green has some sort of infection or burned out. There are multiple greens that you cannot put due to sand, infection, etc. The layout is amazing and always fun top play. We played there yesterday and the course is worth every bit of $50.00. I would never pay $150 to play this course. There are to many other courses in better shape at that price point.

Ouch

Front 9 greens, fairways, and tee boxes in horrible shape. The course smells horrible, especially on the range and front 9

Back 9 was a bit better with condition and greens.

Heard Hilton is dumping money into it but it needs a lot of money to get it where they want to be.

Would not recommend

Fun Course with Challenging Greens

This was my first time playing Mystic Dunes. I really liked the layout of the course. It was a lot of fun and the greens were challenging. The greens have lots of slopes, undulations, uphill and downhill challenges.

The fairways were still getting the bermuda grass coming in, so there were some bare spots, but that will change and get better as the weather gets warmer.

I would highly recommend Mystic Dunes. The only drawback was the price. The price was a little high for what you get as far as course and conditions.

Overall, i had a great time and I would recommend Mystic Dunes.

Overpriced for the condition

Compared to other courses in the area the price vs condition was sub par. Nice club house, range and amenities but the course itself was dry, poor tee boxes and spotty fairways and greens, Spend more money on watering the course.

Has potential or probably was great when it opened

This course is pretty cool with big slopey greens! The greens were good, with the exception of a few holes that hand some sand spots. Every hole was different and fun to play. The back 9 is in better shape than the front, but overall it’s a fun course. There are also tons of enormous bunkers, again, it made it fun. The perimeters of the course are not in the best shape with some weeds but overall it was good enough. We would probably come back.

Great Layout

I base my experience and reviews on course layout and challenging holes this course had some really memorable holes par 3’s were very challenging. The staff was very friendly, starter was very informative on where not to hit your ball, stay out of the waste bunkers, fortunately I was never in one. The course was in great shape the greens are large, undulated and rolled true. I played 10 different courses in the area and I recommended this course to others I played with. I would definitely play this course again if I am ever back in the area.

Very disappointed

Played 3 courses over the last 5 days in Orlando. Booked all through Golf Now...Mystic dunes was the most expensive of the 3 and we were very excited to play there. The Website pictures looked great and on arrival the staff were sadly unfriendly the range was a despicable " cabbage patch" and the front 9 nine was the same as the driving range...we were waiting on every hole and there were no Marshall's enforcing pace of play..surprisingly the back 9 was a different course. It appeared obvious they started working on upgrading the entire course. I would rate the front as a 1 out of 10 and the back 9 i would rate a 5 out of 10 compared to my expectations...I would not be writing this BAD review if when booking i was advised of the conditions and had expectations that met the overall experience...I probably would have booked elsewhere if I had known or if they actually charged what it was worth. Based on the conditions I think the rate should not have exceeded $30 for 18 holes cart included
