Mystic Dunes Resort & Golf Club by Diamond Resorts

This is not even a 3 star course, the design is awful, course conditions are horrible and the maintenance staff are disrespectful and have no golf etiquette. Please do not give this course your money, go play celebrations, Disney palm or southern dunes

Played for the first time early tee time. Pro was helpful and friendly. No place for coffee or breakfast sandwiches checked at 7:05 and 7:20. Disappointing. Starter was great gave us a quick overview of the course. We didn't see a beverage cart until the 16 hole. Greens were in good shape. Some areas around the greens and fairways are being worked on. For the most part course is in good shape, will play again.

The layout of the course is good but since they only finished renovating in October it still needs plenty of time to grow. Fairways were rock hard and the waste bunkers weren't waste bunkers at all, just big sand dunes, very, very poor condition. Would not recommend at this time. Over priced for what they have to offer. Maybe at half the price but doubtful. Give it a year to mature, then hopefully it will be better.

The greens are the real challenge in this course. Big and undulating. Due to the slopes the greens, they are not fast as you might be putting all day. The waste bunker areas, which there are many, are very soft. The ball can easily plug in some areas. A hole on the back nine, 12 I think, I watched a player in our group go into the waste bunker and his feet fell below the surface of the sand. GPS on carts is nice when you haven’t played the course. Staff was very cordial. Food after the round was very good.

Pa e was excellent and the course layout was great. Some of the waste bunkers I sink in 3 inches or so and the ball plugged. It would plug the anywhere it landed. Only experienced on of these.

Staff were extremely friendly, loaded our clubs and provided us with the protocol for checking in. They explained the cart GPS system, which holes were cart only and the pin placement setup.

The front nine needed some maintenance attention. The back nine was in excellent condition. We took about 4 hrs 45 mins to play . Part of this was due to the elderly couple that we were paired with. They were efficient in executing the golf tasks but could only move as fast as their age and health would allow. We understood this and really enjoyed their company. The only part that was annoying was the message on the cart screen reminding us that we were minutes behind even though nobody was visible behind us.’

There is nothing bad to say about Mystic Dunes. Great staff, excellent track and playing conditions. Very challenging greens which I enjoyed. I played here in 2010 and now this year. The course was much improved.

First time playing here. The starter was very friendly and professional. Had a very pleasant afternoon. The course is in really good shape and they are making better. Will definitely play again

Decent but not great conditions, especially the front nine. Greens are extremely undulating. I am glad I was able to get an after 3 rate and didn’t pay full price

Course has a great layout but golf courses is not kept in good shape.

Reviews last few years tell the story pretty well. But with new management of the entire property, major course improvements were done over many months last spring and summer as course closed completely. Results are amazing. Greens are in excellent shape. Fairways are firm and new grass has grown in over most all the holes.

As always, staff continues to be professional, experienced, and knowledgeable.

Did not use the restaurant, but reviews on the Hilton resort part of Mystic Dunes are very positive. Course is very close to Disney with easy access from the area. Price remains very competitive for this immediate Disney area.

The design is Gary Koch. Course is very challenging with long par 4s with huge greens, short par 4’s with tough small greens, reachable par 5’s, and four very different par 3s.

Driving has mostly generous fairways…the fun starts with hitting and putting the greens.

This golf course was awful. The greens are too tricked up. There was no maintenance of course conditions. Don’t play this course. It’s a waste of money.

A decent layout but a tough challenge due to the undulating greens, by no means a criticism, just tough! The course has a lot of new grass on the Fairways and greens which is knitting in well, the greens hold and the ball rus smoothly. Overall a good day was had.
