Omni Amelia Island Resort & Spa

Course is pretty and in excellent shape. I played from the back (Gold) tees and have several issues. Some T boxes were thicker than the rough, Some tee markers were absent. In some cases trees close to the t box blocked access to the fairway or most of the green on a par three. In another 2 holes brush was grown so high as to block driver shots off the tee.

The layout is great and challenges long hitters to those who are just starting out. Greens , bunkers, and fairways are top notch. The staff and practice facilities are similar to the actual green speed. Will be back soon

Clubhouse has not received any meaningful update in over 20 years, and restrooms are no better than in a rundown bus station. Carts are old, a little depressing. Some bunkers are in sad shape, too, with stones, inferior sand. Cart paths need redoing. All this for the highest price around.

Love the layout of the course, always been a the fun part. I used to play a couple times a month because it was priced well and the best shape course around. However, they have now put prices through the roof for a pretty average maintained course. When the course cost something reasonable it was in 2x better condition. You can hit another course in Jacksonville for better conditions and half the price. Hope they reassess pricing and conditions soon, miss playing it.

Nice place to play. However, tee times are too close together resulting in slow play.

Overpriced.

Had a great experience / time at Oak Marsh - I was paired up with three members. Their course knowledge was certainly an asset for me as a first timer. Staff was very friendly and professional. The course is in great condition. Tee boxes / Fairways / Greens are all in very good to excellent condition. The greens had a good pace and true. A lot of subtle movement. My only negative comment would be on their traps. I played out of two - both were rather steep with minimal sand. Almost hard pan at the bottom. Highly recommend playing the course if you’re in the area. The backside has so many beautiful holes.

I know this course well. Used to play it regularly but haven’t played since at least Covid. Needs investment, which Omni seems unwilling to provide. Pro Shop, restrooms, bunkers, greens and cartpaths all need total rehab. No tees on the range, which had precious little grass in the area designated. Amazing for the level of resort it purports to be. No refreshments cart around either! Nearly all of the front nine is a disappointment, crammed emwith nearby homes, until you get to beautiful #9 on the marsh. Same re back nine, though it turns beautiful earlier, with 16, 17, and 18 all beautiful.

Beautiful course in great condition. Loved it. Read some reviews that it was tight. I didn’t think so. 18 is a great finishing hole. Recommended. It’s not cheap because it’s a resort course, but we’ll worth playing.

Course was in great shape and pace of play was excellent. Greens were relatively quick. Really like Amelia Island and Oak Marsh.

Teed off hoping to play in 3:30 hrs. Had to leave after 13 holes after 3:30 playing time.

Just a great and picturesque course. Very tough when wind is kicking. Staff is always good and I always look forward to being here....especially GA-FL weekend

Course was in excellent shape; greens were rolling very well. Really difficult course, but the views and scenery are unbeatable.
