About Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate

ChampionsGate is a master-planned community west of Orlando that revolves around the Greg Norman-designed National and International courses at this Omni-flagged resort. Recent expansion projects have introduced villa-style accommodations that are particularly attractive to buddies groups. Relative proximity to Disney makes this an attractive family option, too.

Slow play with no rangers to monitor.

Our 2:30 pm tee time took 4 1/2 hours to play.. We would have loved a drink after our round but everything was locked up.

Great day

The course was in terrific shape in preparation for the Jim Thorpe Open. We were fortunate to be paired with a junior competitor from Chicago. We had a great day. We started at 2:20 and finished just before sunset. Staff was excellent. I will go back. I recommend it.

Big price

This is a very solid course, good greens and in very good condition. However, it is mostly about hitting very narrow greens. Not a lot of difficulty off the tee and not a great deal of memorable holes. The price is ridiculous. If I didn’t get a very good Hot Deal rate I would not recommend it at all. Can’t see paying $300 plus for this track.

Course was in great shape and the greens were fast and receptive. Pace of play was a little slow as it took us 4 hours and 40 minutes to play 18 holes but probably was because of two foursomes in front of us were having a friendly competition amongst themselves. Would play this course again.

Greens were good, little bumpy in places but great speed. Fairways good shape but no matter the

Tees you play fairway bunkers reachable, making the landing area seem tight (an added challenge!). Staff was great, engaging and informative. Pace was OK but not great as round took 4.5 hours. Would play again.
