Ponte Vedra Inn & Club
About Ponte Vedra Inn & Club
Somewhat overshadowed by Sawgrass, this classic inn and resort predates it by several decades. Two charming golf courses have benefited from the design expertise of local resident and experienced architect Bobby Weed, and the new Lodge recently increased the resort's accommodations complement by several dozen rooms. Ponte Vedra Inn & Club should be near the top of the list for visitors seeking a sense of Old Florida.Facts

Not great
The staff was courteous, however the greens were atrocious. A lot of potential for this course, however I can't get over how poor the greens were, and im not talking about recently punched. The greens were borderline un-puttable, patches of weeds, no grass or over grown areas.
Greens in tough shape
Most of the tees and fairways are In decent shape, but the greens are in really bad shape. Also much of the rough needs to be cut.
What Happened?!
This course has so much potential and used to play really well. Place is a goat farm now, 36 different types of weeds cover the fairways and hazards are over grown. Greens were egregiously weeded and under repair. Probably not going back even if it’s free or until I hear the place has improved.
River Wilderness
Had a foursome booked through Golf Now. Great deal. Played here before course layout is great. Tee box and fairways were in good shape. Greens were like a Brillo pad. They are making expected improvement for the regular session I expect. Still enjoyed the course . Staff were great. I will play again

The staff in pro shop friendly and courteous. Very informative. Great place to play very challenging
This course used to be really good but the conditions have deteriorated. The fairways are a mixture of mostly weeds and a few various grasses. The greens were horrible and bumpy.
There was no water for players on the course in 100 degree FL heat!
No one to help you get a cart.
No balls on the range.
I could go on and on.
Good layout but course is in need of care
Greens were decent. Rest of course was weed infested throughout
Needs Work
I haven’t played here for a while.
It’s definitely not in the shape it used to be 5 years ago. The greens were rough. They still rolled at a decent pace but bumpy and lots of weeds.
The fairways had not been cut on some holes for at least a week. I’m hoping that they had so much rain recently that it prevented them from getting mowed.
I know the place is under new management but I’m thinking it might not be in the shape I’m used to seeing it until after January 2026.
All that said, I would play it again for practice but not if I’m working on my putting.
I’m an 11.1 index so take my advice accordingly.

Course conditions are still not great, but value for money is excellent. Teed off at noon and was driving home at 2:30.
Goat Farm
Don’t waste your hard earned money right now. The course is in absolute terrible shape. There is grass knee high , greens have weeds and doesn’t look like they even care . Worst condition I’ve seen this place in years . Only positives I can think of is pace of play because nobody is there and it’s easy to see why . That and also practice area is decent with a nice range, chipping area and putting practice. They also have nice carts .It’s a shame too because the course has potential to be hidden gem but as it sits now I wouldn’t pay 20$ .
