Rosen Shingle Creek

We started at 2 pm and could only Play 15 holes!

We had to wait a long time at every hole. Sometimes we were 5 flights waiting!

Teed off at 2 pm, behind a shotgun start tournament. Took 4:30 minutes to play 16 hours before sundown. Golf course was in great shape and layout was good but pace of play was awful!

The course layout and course condition was very good considering we had a Hurricane a couple of weeks ago.

The bag drop and golf cart reception staff are all very friendly.

As a single golfer playing in the afternoon, pace of play was excellent until the 13th hole and then I hit a brick wall. A foursome playing slowly saw me but totally ignored me.

By the time we got to the 18th hole there were 4 groups behind me waiting for them!!!!

There needs to be Marshall on the course or at least a number one can call. Those last 6 holes were very painful.

When I arrived at 10.45 and ordered a coffee at the snack bar -I was told coffee was finished and there would be no more coffee for the rest of the day. and there was no other location serving coffee?

After the round - I was looking to have a beer and light meal but the snack bar was long since closed and the Grill is a very nice elegant location but I felt uncomfortable being in there still wearing golf attire.

Either the snack bar should stay open later and increase their menu or there should be a section of the grill ( maybe the terrace) where golfers can relax after a round..

This is one of the best golf courses in Orlando, Florida. The facility is well maintained and the food there is delicious and being remembered. All staff members are very friendly.

Great weather, great course conditions. Greeting Staff was very friendly, took my clubs and placed them on cart. They stored our luggage for us in the secure bag room. Pro shop staff was a little cold, not rude but just matter of fact; like they couldn’t care less if I was there or not. Course was really great from tee to green.

Playing here at sunrise was a treat. Course was in great shape and definitely worth the money. Get a book to help with greens when picking approach shots.

Limited selection of food & beverage at the small cafeteria.

Overall a good experience - price was good with a special rate for teeing off after 2.00 pm

But it is difficult to play when carts are only on path because the Lawn Mower can not work either. Should be cheaper under this condition.

Nicely set up course and facilities just off International Drive. Easy bag drop and parking. Helpful staff. Well stocked clubhouse. Driving range next to 1st tee. Fast greens and a most enjoyable round. Not really a course for beginners though as you need a good drive to reach the fairway on many holes. Think 200 yds drive minimum. Thoroughly recommended.

Well I went on golf now looking for courses to play while on vacation, I was so pleased when shingle Creek came up. I last played it 4 years ago as my introduction to golf. That week I played 4 other courses, “yes I got to bug” still to this day it’s one of my favourite course's. Hopefully it won’t be four years again. If anyone at Shingle Creek reads this thank you for a very memorable vacation.
