Since 1981, Saddlebrook Resort has been a go-to-destination for golfers, located just 30 miles north of Tampa International Airport. The resort's two original Arnold Palmer designs are being redesigned in 2025 into a 27-hole combination by Rees Jones. This entirely new playing experience will pair with a new 13-acre practice facility, home to a two-sided range, and golf school to engage golfers. A world-class tennis facility is another major attraction of this resort. We had a wonderful day. The Course and Staff surpassed Our Expectations 🏌️🏌️
Resort Experience On A Budget
At Saddlebrook you are treated to resort style amenities including free valet parking, bucket of range balls, poolside bar and upscale restaurant.
Palmer course layout is beautiful and offers ease of play off tees while challenging bunkers and fast greens.
Value for money is fantastic as the overall experience should have cost twice what I paid.
I will definitely be back to play Saddlebrook course.
Staff
I will never play this course again because I was approached on the driver range by staff member and was told to leave because I have only an hour to warm up and when you are finished playing your round you can not use the driver range.
Rough condition
Pulled up to bag drop and nobody grabbed our clubs. We had to carry our bags 3 blocks to pro shop. Course was in rough condition. Sand traps in bad condition. Gteens had fungus all over and didn’t change cups for at least 3 days. None of the buckets were filled with sand including cart to fill divots. Garbage cans over filled. You would think that they would have the course ready for the weekend. First time we played it was in great shape and everyone was great. Definitely wouldn’t go back.

Great layout with many challenging holes.
Prices are fair in the off-season.
Great course
I play this course almost every weekend and you can’t beat it weather it’s this one or saddlebrook , the buck is worth the bang. From free range balls , to perfect greens and fairways it’s is always a great time.
Greens were surprisingly slow. I would expect a Troon course to be much better. Also, we never saw a beverage cart the whole day.
Conditions were pretty good but pace of play was mighty slow. Access to driving range before teeing off would’ve been nice - where is the range??

Course was in good shape, some greens could use some TLC. I found the bunkers were needing some sand but overall i enjoyed the course
Tough course
The course will challenge you. Greens are good. The staff was very friendly.
Friday First
Enjoyed the course very much. 3 of the 4 some had never played this course before. All Enjoyed. We will be back. Did not like we had to valet park even though it was free. Drinks on course very over priced - $22.00 doubles.
