Great Round of Golf
Having played several time previously I found the course in the best condition ever. It was great to experience.
Recently redone and the greens are in great condition. Greenside bunkers have very soft sand
A golf course you can enjoy playing. Generous fairways but be wary of several parallel water hazards. You need to be able to work the ball both ways to score well. Take advantage of the lunch special - great value.
Great course after renovations!
Played here with friend from out of town and had a 7:30 am tee time. They had a tournament set up for 12pm. We finished 11:30 in plenty of time and was not rushed. I only seen two other groups playing that morning with us! First time here and will be back. Great course, fairways and greens were in top notch shape. They spent a lot on renovations and it showed !
Always looking to play with new people.
Not bad, good condition
Excellent greens and bunkers. Fairways could use some love but overall it is a great track. There are cheaper courses out there but if the deal is right Shula's is worth the price.
This course has been redone and is looking much better than before.
A storm came after the 9th hole.
Asked for a 9 hole rain check and the answer was NO, even though the course got flooded and it was impossible to continue.
Bad customer service.
Good condition course.
Good condition course, unfortunately we booked for 18 holes and played only 8 holes due to the weather and they don't offer rain checks.
Course not in good condition...need to do more renervation to be considered a good course
Course was in poor condition.....back 9 especially was water logged....tee shots plugged on most holes
Fun course for mid low handi
Pro
A mini bit of everything, island greens, water haz, aggressive bunkers, interesting breaks.
cons
Not a good place to hang with your buds after. Staff is member oriented and members like other members and not visitors. Can not disagree though, buy expensive membership while others play cheap, really. So expect some resentment. Driving range is awful.
Gest,, play as soon as you get there, enjoy a fun well kept course and once done go home or to a nearby bar preferably in a different nearby city.
Nice layout but not made aware the last day before course being shut down to do major changes.
Nice layout but the course needs the waterways on the course cleaned up. Even though the course was about to undergo major renevation it could have been better in some of the other areas.
Greens Under Repair
Great course, however, greens under repair. Great course for moderate players
The course was ok!
The back nine was closed due to all the rain. The course had just "painted" the green and they were like putting on ice. Most of the holes were in good shape, but a few holes needed some work.
Other than all of that we really enjoyed the day.
Well maintained course.
Tale of two 9's. Front 9 is very playable for a high handicapp golfer but the back 9 is not recommended for a novice golfer. Lots of water and challenging green locations. Overall, it's a nice course and for the price paid it was worth it.
My opinion is the same as the reviews I read. Super friendly staff, course needs work, especially the greens
The twosome we played with said the greens were being made larger and some work was needed as the course was trying to get a pro tournament here. It's going to take massive amounts of work for that to happen. The back 9 would need a complete re do...like bulldozers and all
Nice moderate to fast greens
Staff is very friendly. The front nine plays a lot easier then the back nine, which has water on the majority of holes. I love playing the course; great challenge.
One of my favorite courses in Miami.
Thanks to Golfnow for making it accessible with awesome rates.
This course does not have a raincheck policy!
Payed $30 to only play the first 7 holes before it started storming. The course has signs telling you to leave if lightning is present but has no raincheck policy!? The staff should make it a point to let you know there are no rainchecks if it looks like it may storm that day. They could at least have some signs stating that you play at risk of losing your fee paid should it begin storming.
Good greens
Fairways and rough needs extra care, sand traps are not in the best condition
Great Course, 1st time visit. Excellent Conditions
1st time playing there, it was a joyful experience. Better than 1st time at the Pro-shop, not very pleasant.
Good value, challenging layout.
About 6500 yards from the member tees with a beautiful front 9, about as diverse as a traditional South Florida layout can be. The back nine is tougher, with more of a links character, and the proximity of the Palmetto Expressway takes some of the fun out of the process. Not a deal breaker, but sure makes the front seem even nicer. Conditioning and amenities are pretty good, if not quite stellar. Everyone is friendly and helpful, not always the case at a public course in Miami. For less than half of what you would pay at the so-called top three or four public courses in Miami, this is solid value and plenty of golf for the buck.
front need better maintaining
Beautiful layout 10-18
1-9 fairways need better maintenance
