Biggest “wild” gator I’ve ever seen. Yes that’s my buddy’s ball close to his head and no he didn’t go get it! Photo submitted by volsfan32119 on 01/12/2025

Much Improved
We've played this course before and it was slow. Today the course wasn't as busy and! much more enjoyable! The Pro Shop is always kind and helpful. The starters are a hoot.
Fairways and greens were excellent. A few areas were wet but expected due to recent weather. It took 5 hours for the rou.
Course is good, some locals are rude.
After a few mishits the 2 guys waived us to go ahead. At the next tee we were backed up, waited on every shot, everyone was bunched up front and back. After 6 holes we saw the Marshall, someone complained of slow play, we explained the slow pace ahead of us, we were all waiting, no improvement. The 2 guys called the proshop 5 times no answer, they simply quit. The locals group behind them, hit into us with no call outs, this happened more than once, no apology, I know that they were older and maybe the eyesight isn't what it was, but to keep doing it is simply rude. We were waiting just like everyone else.
Too bad they can't manage their tee times better.
Great Greens Staff
We played a week after Hurricane Ian and were amazed at the cleanup the staff did. Played again yesterday and even more impressed. The greens are immaculate and the overall course conditions are outstanding.
The quality of the greens alone makes the low cost of play a great bargain.
Friendly Staff; good 18 holes game
Perfect weather, to play at the Great Outdoors, beautiful layout and well maintained golf course, great place to play . The front desk and starter are very friendly and accommodating. God bless all
Big Bubba Day
The course was incredible again-----our two groups had a tremendous day and all the newbies to the course got to see big Bubba laying in the sun behind the 8th green and 9th tee. Perfect day.
Saaaalooooooowwwww
We like this course which is why we keep going back. But something has got to be something done to keep the pace of play. There wasn't a hole we played where we did not have to wait on the groups ahead of us. It got so bad we had a 5-some, and three 2-somes waiting to tee off. And the 5-some was not the hold up. They moved right along when they were able to tee off.
I said I would recommend to a friend, but only with the caveat of how slow play is.
I don't like this course
Don't play here...years ago the residents bought the course and now act like it is a private course...they play so slow it is awful and rounds can take 5 hours probably more once the showbirds come in soon....the people are old and crippled up and won't let you play through even though they can not keep up with groups in front of them...the course itself is in great shape and quite challenging with lots of water, some of which you have to carry....
Hello. Thank you for reviewing the course. We apologize for the delay of play during your round. This is by no means the standard we strive to achieve. With that in mind, we are working to best control pace and allow everyone to finish in a reasonable amount of time. We will continue to look for ways to improve. Thank you for playing and we hope to see you again soon.
Wet course, overgrown rough, flooded areas
The course is good overall, but lots of water and wet fairways, sides are deep rough, very easy to lose a ball, settles down. The 16th is under water, access is through the 18nth backwards, the 16th is a 50 yard shot. Ok to play but not at full price, should be discounted with current state.
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass on your feedback to the team. Thanks for visiting The Great Outdoors Golf & Country Club, and we hope to see you again in the future.
Great course, good course
The course was in great shape, even right after Hurricane Ian. This will become my home course soon. Thanks
Great golf course, worth the drive
Absolutely beautiful golf course, wonderful fairways and greens. Staff was very friendly, I drove from Orlando as I have been wanting to play the course and I was not disappointed.
I do wish starters would consider pace of play and require that single and double players, pair up, especially when it is busy, it would have reduced the 5 hrs it took to play the round. Overall however I would highly recommend this golf course.
Post-Hurricane Ian
Played a few days after the storm and the grounds staff did am amazing job preparing the course. Titusville had 20 inches of rain, but you would never know it. High praise for the staff in bringing the course back to the highest standards under extreme conditions.
Course in good shape
The course overall in great shape with all the excessive rain as if late. There was one issue, I was held up teeing off by the pro shop well past the tee time without given a good reason... frustrating. There was no reason to hold up when the other players (not associated with me) failed to show up on time. I checked back with the pro shop afterwards and talked with the actual GM and and received a better reasoning/understanding The previous staff member probably needed better training in explaining the situation. All good now and will be back. Thanks
