Biggest “wild” gator I’ve ever seen. Yes that’s my buddy’s ball close to his head and no he didn’t go get it! Photo submitted by volsfan32119 on 01/12/2025

Best greens we’ve played
This was our 6th game here, and we have another one booked before we go back to Scotland next week…I think that says everything. We love it.
GReat outdoors
We heard they made changes to the course.. the new tees and greens were fantastic. our only small issue was the pace of play. If you get behind a members group its a long day.
Terrible pace of play.3 hours to play the front 9
The course is in good-ish shape, especially the greens. However, the pace of play is terrible. One of the problems is that it backs and bottle necks at Hole #3 because it's carr path only. They just need to plant a marshall right there. Also, the pro shop really needs to evaluate if they are consistently over booking the tee sheet or stop letting the. residents whine to the starter(their buddies) and they let them on the course when it's not really their tee time, and that's backing up the tee sheet/course.
The course is the best in the area.
The greens are large & roll very well.
The fairways are also in great shape.
Starter Set the Tone For a Loooong Day
Now I realize I was about 40 mins early for my tee time and the course has the right to make you wait for your assigned time but 90% of them also use common sense. After watching a group go off and seeing no one else talking with the starter I let it be know I was checked in and ready to go. He really didn't say much but 5-10 mins later 4 elder ladies drove up in separate carts which made it evident that they were members and started chatting with the starter who knew them. I was standing next to him and once again he asked my tee time. He then stated that I'd have to wait as these ladies need to go off before me. One of them did say, " oh you poor man. You're in for a long day as we are slow". Slow was being kind. Anyhow, getting out about 25 mins later, teamed up with 3 others we let a twosome who were behind us play through on the second hole and by the fourth hole it was a 10-15 min. wait behind our 4 lovely ladies. All day. What should have been a 3 1/2 hr. round tops was around 5 hrs. I mean would it have killed this guy to run me out ahead of this group. As for the course, it was still basically the same after a year shut-down, maybe a hole of two with slight adjustments. My major complaint was that the ground was so hard that we couldn't even get our tees in the ground to tee off. After 2-3 holes we were grabbing all the broken tees hanging around and trying to sharpen them up to get them in a 1/2 inch or so. In closing I realize that some courses depend on their members and cater to them but let's be real and play to the crowd, eh? Although it's a nice course and the gent at the check-in was great I'll leave this out of my course consideration for quite some time.
Everything is in good shape. The greens roll very well. The course is more open than it was.
Greens r all bigger.
Could be friendlier
Course was in good shape, glad to see it open again. The inside staff was nice enough but the starter had an attitude and they were running almost 40 min behind. We had a threesome and got paired up with a single. That is normal but they forced us to pair up in cart with the single and they were very rude about it.
