The Henderson, a Salamander Resort

We have been playing golf in Destin for a couple of decades now, but had never played Regatta Bay mainly due to the price per round.

We finally decided that this year we would save our money and play the “premium” courses in the area.

To say we were disappointed is beyond understatement.

Staff and facilities were top notch, but course conditions were not. The fairways were very sparse, played golf all over the USA and had never seen anything like this. Like cold weather courses that had winter kill and the grass was just coming back - very thin. Ball would not sit up on it so felt like shots in mid fairway were very thin lie.

Greens had been punched a couple of weeks ago and were quick, but still had some bumpy to them as the putt lost its pace near the hole.

Bottom line, we have played local courses in much better condition for a third to half the price.

The course is beautiful. They airified a week ago, but the greens are running great! The man who checked me in told me the airified BEFORE I paid, which they should, but most course staffs do not. Regatta is a much, much better value than Kelly Plantation!

Super friendly staff, plenty of help when needed. Very organized range, nice balls and we were on mats but they had a really nice set up. The golf course greens were just punched but at least mowed. Wide fairways and deep rough. Fun to play, and would definitely go back.

We were lucky enough to play day before aerification, it was beautiful! Greens were perfect & fairways were green & lush! Definitely the best of 2 other courses played! Highly recommend once aerification has healed! Will absolutely play again!

Staff made you feel welcome. Course was in great condition and greens were fast. Love the mango cooled towels and cold apples on the golf course. A++++++++

Course is pure, meaning grass, fairways, tee boxes, rough, greens in great shape. Layout was fair but challenging. Beautiful back there in the neighborhoods. Love this course. Makes me not wanna go back to TN and play our courses.

At Regatta Bay the people are exceptionally nice. I played with one of their members and he turned out to be one of the finest gentlemen I’ve met. The course was laid out excellent and the conditions were superb. It was the only course in the entire area that had an air.

Course is in great shape, starter was very friendly considering we were running late and found a group for us to join with no issues. Challenging holes with forced carries and water all over. Iced towels and chilled apples at the turn were a nice touch. Practice area was A+ for a public course. I’ll be back!

This course blew my mind with how lush and healthy it is. I was hesitant to pay $200 for a round of golf, but it was worth every penny. I’d do it again in a heartbeat- even after playing the other Sandestin courses for half the price. Absolutely worth it!

We played Regatta Bay while on vacation. This was my 4 or 5th time to play this course over the years.

Everything about our golfing experience at Regatta Bay was outstanding!!!

The staff was very helpful and friendly and the property was absolutely beautiful and everything was in immaculate condition. They have a great restaurant and offer plenty of drinks and cold scented towels to help battle the Florida heat.

The golf course is an exceptional golf course that is challenging but fair.

For the serious golfers out there, this is a must play course!

The Tee boxes are setup so that anyone can play and enjoy their round if they play the correct tee's.

Tip: take your pictures early and often so your experience is captured in photos. Don't wait or you will get wrapped up in playing this wonderful course!

This place is definitely the best golf course in Destin. Love playing here. Great facilities. Friendly and attentive staff and it’s always in great condition.
