The Henderson, a Salamander Resort

This was the second year that we have played the course and it’s still challenging as always. Myself and two Sons love it and will be back again next year to enjoy another round of golf.

Definitely gotta play this place once if you’re a once a year vacationer in the Destin area. The layout of the course is pretty sweet, and the staff is top notch as well as the practice facilities. Gotta have all shots in the bag and know when to take your medicine to shoot well, as well as have a good bunker game because there are some brutal ones. Overall a great experience and would recommend to a friend.

I’ve played all the courses in Destin. This by far is the best golf experience as far as check in, quality golf holes, bag drop, starter beverage cart etc!! ( except for the freaking grump at the main gate)

Course is in the best condition I have ever seen it in.

Get out and play it you won’t be disappointed.

Just about everything that Regatta Bay is awesome with the exception of them charging $55 for my wife to ride in a car with me. We did not require an extra cart but they charged her $55 anyway. Not Not expectable.

Played right after a rain and finished with my wife in right at 3 hours. Course drains very well

I really like this track and play it whenever I visit. It is very expensive, but the course is in great shape, the greens rolled really well, service was top notch and the pace of play (3 1/2 hours) was worth the extra $$$ for me.

This course mixes bomb driver open fairways with tight course management shot strategy holes. Some holes play best with using hybrid or 3 wood for positioning. Some holes have forced carries, and some blind trouble. It is always wonderful to play here - amazing tee box, fairway, rough, and greens. A must play!

Parents dropped off a 13 yr old kid from out of town who was basically a beginner. They paired him with us. Shouldn’t have been allowed to drive his own cart. Sweet kid but he was clueless. Didn’t have a drink on a really hot day so we bought him water. We basically babysat. Pro shop didn’t even offer us a beer or lunch for our trouble. Wanted us to come back and play and we couldn’t. Not a safe situation for him and the club should have prevented it. He quit after nine bc he probably ran out of balls. Course was great though.

Cause was in great condition. Staff was wonderful. Met several club members who were very friendly and kind. Pace of play was not anyone’s fault. Just the way it is sometimes. When we return to the area we will be back to play.

The course was in excellent condition. The staff was more very helpful with any questions we had. I was a little unhappy about having five holes being cart path only but with the amount of rain they’ve had in that area it’s understandable. Overall I would play it tomorrow if given the opportunity.

This course has everything you want in a golf course.challenging but fair. Course conditions fairways/sandtraps/greens were all in great shape. Love the mix of water carry on par 3s and hazards that force you to layup off the tee. The only thing I did t like was the painting of the greens for ascetics. Greens but still rolled good. Recommend you put on your list of must plays if you are in the area.

I have played Regatta Bay several times and the conditions this time with the best ever! Staff was incredibly friendly and attentive to detail, and made the experience even better.

I had played Raven two days previous and Raven doesn't compare to this course in greens quality and staff attendance.

I got a recommendation from a local golfer and they were spot on. The staff was top notch and not haughty or rude at all. The people were Very friendly from pro shop, to the starter, to Marshall who brought us wet towels on course. Each hole has its own character and sources of trouble. When you made your par you felt you earned it! The greens rolled true and the course was impeccably kept. Putting green, chipping area and range all close to the first tee and well attended. I went out as a single and was paired up with another guy on vacation who had never played the course before, we both agreed this was a course that was very worthy of playing again!

Only giving 5 stars because I can’t give more!
