World Class
Played the Gold Course in four hours. First class experience. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were outstanding. Arrive early to enjoy the practice facility.
Tiburon
What a great golf course, played the Black Course while the LPGA CME Globe were on the Gold Course.
Put it on your list!
Championship Layout, indeed
First time playing at Tib. Beautiful morning, course conditions immaculate. CME Globe and QBE coming soon so the grandstands and scoreboards were up. If you are willing to spend some serious coin for the private course experience in Naples, come to the Shark's paradise.
Nice but design not up to hype
The facilities and setting are beautiful and to a high standard. Very good service. In general, the course is in great conditions, if not because the greens had recently been aerated and could have taken a week or two more to be in top shape. I was not informed, and I was charged the regular rate.
With all the hype the course has with the televised PGA, champions, and LPGA tournaments; and by having played PGA Tour’s Mayakakoba El Camaleon, and other Norman’s courses; design-wise, playing from the white tees (handicap 17) I found El Tiburón Black dull, unmemorable, and unchallenging; as so, overpriced, if not for the hype and grand facilities.
I had been told that there are other much interesting courses in the vicinity at better rates. So now I know and believe it’s likely.
A bit disappointed
Layout great. Greens seemed very inconsistent and 18th green was a mess and unplayable—
Spectacular Course
Beautifully maintained and challenging course. Lovely property veal with friendly staff.
Worth every penny
As a young guy from Kentucky, courses like this are a real treat. On Vacation I decided to treat myself to a round at this beautiful course, and it was incredible. The course is very different than any I had played, There is very little rough on this course, it's either sand or fairway, which can be an advantage and disadvantage. The fairways were very well cut, which provided great roll of the tee, especially for long drivers. The greens are very challenging, hard to read, and fast. The setting and layout are beautiful, and knowing that you are following in the footsteps of the pros is another bonus. I don't know if I will ever be back, but it was certainly a round I will never forget.
