Waldorf Astoria Orlando

Back in February 2015 I was playing with my wife when I had to retire on the 3rd hole because of pain in hip. My wife continued to play and I took in the course layout.

Two titanium hips later...

Orlando November 2022 my wife and I made the trek back to the course. Sadly, the back nine was under reconstruction so I would never get to play those beautiful last few holes of the original layout.

Waldorf was in good shape considering Hurricane Nicole had just dropped buckets of rain on the course the previous Thursday. Besides the parts 3's there were only 4 holes cart path only the following Tuesday. We had a good day and enjoyed our round.

Shout out to Jude and Ryan who were performing duties of valet, bag drop, cart setup, club cleaning and directions to compressed air to clean our shoes. They said to come back when the golf course renovations were complete. Next time in Orlando I'll check in with Waldorf pro shop to see if Waldorf 3.0 has been completed.

Golf cart didn’t work very well. Particularly The GPS was totally inaccurate. I was surprised that course had been modified for the building project. However the staff was very friendly. I don’t think the course is a good value for the cost.

Great shape after opening back again. Greens a little hard on back 9, which is expected after new greens.

Slow play. 5 hour round.

Staff is excellent.

Conditions were ok. Greens cut low but slow.

Far ana away, the finest golf course I've ever played in florida. Lush from tee to green. The back nine just finished a redesign, but you could not tell based on the mature fairways and beautifully lush and true greens. A couple of holes were shorter than a standard par four, but the experience was so wonderful we did not mind one bit. If it fits within your budget, play this course!

From the valet, to the pro shop, to the staff on the course; they were amazing. For me this course had high expectations since it is a Waldorf Astoria. The course was in great shape and it was fun to play. Well worth the price and will definitely will play it again.

Even though it was only 9 holes due to restoration, it was amazing. Gorgeous, well maintained fairways and greens. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the pace was great. Will absolutely be playing again.

Played here following the closure for Hurricane Ian. Overall the course was in pretty good shape. The bunkers were little ponds around the course, but those were the only issues throughout the entire course. Greens were in great shape. Staff was very friendly. Will look forward to going back when the entire 18 is open and bunkers are fixed.

Although the conditions were terrific the course is limited to only the front 9 holes. I feel that the back 9 has so much more character. and proves to more of a challenge. Because of the restrictions there is no beverage cart and the club house bar and restaurant was closed. So to summarize the course plays great but there are no amenities available until they reopen the back 9 in November. Mildly disappointing for a Waldorf property.
