About Waldorf Astoria Orlando
Invoking its famous New York forebear, this Waldorf Astoria Property serves up similarly gracious luxury in a quiet corner between Orlando proper and the uber-popular Disney resort. Indeed, visitors to its parks will often choose this resort for its convenient location and quieter feel in the Bonnet Creek development. The Rees Jones-designed golf course is a draw, too.Facts

Hole #8 - Par 5 - "Empire" Photo submitted by Shawn2245237 on 03/08/2013
Caveat Emptor
Conditions were nice, however, this course is not the Par 72 advertised. Currently there is a major construction project that’s going to be ongoing until 2024. This has resulted in the two par 5s on the back nine being chopped into a par 4 and par 3, with the second par 5 chopped down to a par 3 and 1/2, really a 240 yard par 4. Par 70 is the total. This results in a shorter than advertised, architecturally compromised, course. I understand these kinds of modifications are necessary to accommodate construction, but they should be advertised. GolfNow should do a better job of ensuring accurate information on their site, but this kind of in attention to detail is par for the course for GolfNow. Also, the course being adjacent to a construction site, means there’s a lot of heavy equipment noise, as if the proliferation of Bluetooth speakers on the links isn’t enough. Again, I know construction and course impacts are necessary from time to time, the paying public should be properly warned before shelling out big bucks to play. Had I known of these impacts prior to arriving at the course, I would have gone elsewhere. Bunkers were washed out as well, a function of recent heavy rain, however, the rain wasn’t solely responsible for the bad bunkers. Many need sand replenishment.
Great conditions
Enjoyed the course - great conditions - staff was good at their job- would recommend.
Amazing experince
All the staff was very nice the course was in great shape he greens were a little slow but the roll true
Top notch operation - Course and People
This course is visually interesting and technically challenging for me. The course is somewhat hindered by the work in progress due to resort modifications.
The staff is fantastic and attentive. I look forward to playing the course again!
No one informed us of the constant hammering of large posts for their new banquet hall. Metal on metal for 18 holes.
Two we were forced to play the entire round behind an 8 some. They never once offered to let us through. They were only broke apart twice the whole round. There radios could be heard across holes.
They allowed 3 children under 14 to roam the course in carts with their mother. None spoke english so we couldn't communicate with them to stop hitting into us screaming, running, or driving through us etc..., come to find out the teaching pro allowed them to finish their "lesson" on the course with no supervision.
The Valet left our keys out for anyone to just come by and steal. At this price point you expect much more. I called, LM for course, no one has even called back. I just wanted a refund and to move on. So much for my mom getting to enjoy her 70th Bday present!
Good Course but….pricey
Layout was ok, fairways were in good conditions as were the greens. Bunkers weren’t consistent, some had fluffy sand, others were hard and more like dirt. Construction is being done which has the 18th shortened to a par 4. If you’re willing to shell out $250+ to say you’ve played at the Waldorf Astoria Club, go for it!
Expected more
Lots of work being done.
Some hole modifications that we were not aware of
I remember 12-13-18 and probably a couple more are modified
So I expected more for the price of the green fee….
Construction issues
There is construction around the course that shortened several holes and made for a very strange layout. There had been some rain and every bunker was full of water, need to have better drainage.
Good experience
Great facility. Significant construction noise ( bad timing on my part) The 18th hole has been significantly reduced from a long par 5 to a short par 4. Great staff and facilities.
For the money course conditions could be better
This was the first time playing this course. For the amount of money, I expected better conditions. The fairways were 3 out of 4, the greens were 2 out of 4 running about 9, little on the slow side, the bunkers were 2 out of 4 (inconsistent sand), and the layout was 3 out of 4. Pace of play was great. I am guessing that not many people choose to play there because of the money. The beverage cart was very courteous and prompt but the prices were way high! Again, I get it that it's the Waldorf. Given the money involved, I'd recommend either Champions Gate or Reunion. Much better course conditions for slightly less money,
Wow!
What a course; this is the 2nd time I have played it and the whole experience is fantastic. It’s not cheap but worth very dollar.
