fun and challenging
Staff was great and professional. Free unlimited range balls. Only thing is no GPS although confirmation said GPS included.
Great Find!
Found this course while on vacation. Wanted to golf one more time before we left and we were pleasantly surprised by this course considering we only paid 18 dollars to play! The course is in good shape. The staff was friendly. The course is narrow and challenging. We plan to return the next time we're in town!
very nice course
Very nice course with wide fairways and soft but quick greens. The rough was penal. Staff is friendly and helpful. After round the food was very good. Would play again if I make it back to this area.
Wow.. Very nice!
Having played most if not all of the better courses in Central FL, I was thoroughly impressed with the course. The course conditions were spectactular especially for this time of year. It is a very fair course for all handicaps in my opinion. The fairways are wide enough and the greens have good roll with some challenging contour. I will be back!
Great course
Had a blast playing here again, greens were great even though they had recently been punched. Lots of people so pace of play was around 5 hours for 18 holes but it was a very enjoyable 5 hours. Definitely will be back soon!
FUN COURSE TO PLAY
EXCELLENT COURSE
GREAT CONDITION
VERY FRIENDLY STAFF
Under water
Expected this course to be a treat but turned into nightmare. Course was virtually unplayable but they still put people out. Cart path only was in play but even to walk on the course you would sink into the fairway. Stayed covered in mud as with every shot was like hitting out of the water. When looking for your ball in the middle of fairway you looked for mounds as about every ball was plugged. Course is probably nice when dry. Just feel should have been compensated for such poor condition especially what I payed to play here and traveled 85 miles to play.
Slammer and Squire
Always enjoy playing the course. It was very soggy after five days of rain but no one can help that.
tah
except for the wet conditions all was perfect
The King and Bear
Enjoyed playing the course! It was very wet from five days of rain, but I'm pretty sure they have no control of that!!!
Great layout
Make sure to always call ahead and ask about course conditions first. Booked and they had punched the greens. Bummer⛳️
Great Course
The greens just got punched a week before I played. I did not know this when i reserved. So initially I was not happy. However, the greens were still ok to play. Once I started playing I saw how beautiful the course is. The fact that I'm writing an extremely positive review even with the greens just being punched, indicates how good this course is. I would definitely recommend playing if you are in the St. Augustine area. I also would recommend making the trip to see the Hall of Fame.
Friendly staff.
Great course, challenging even from the up tees. Staff was very friendly in and outside the clubhouse.
Best of the bunch
Of the 4 courses I played in and around Jax this was my favorite. Nice views of the HOF tower throughout. Risk reward holes. No aeration. I'll definitely be back.
Play King and Bear Over Squire and Slammer, if You Have to Choose
I made the trek to World Golf Village expecting a PGA experience like I experienced at TPC Sawgrass. The hotel does NOT deliver on a golf-resort experience. It was loud, the service was poor, and the hotel was filled with many non-golfer groups. If you can find a way to play the King and Bear without over-paying for the mediocre (2-Star) hotel, I would. This is a fun course to play. The gator on hole 17 made this a real Florida golf experience. The greens were in better condition than the Slammer & Squire. The club house is what you would expect and the food was good.
Very Good Course, Disappointed in World Golf Village

Must play when in St. Augustine, FL
The course was challenging but fair. The greens were in excellent condition. The challenge was to keep it in the fairway. The rough did not look thick but it was, and it was deep. Balls were hard to find in the rough. A mid to low handicapper will enjoy the course.
Thoroughly enjpyed
While surprised about the distance from the WGHOF, my son and I thoroughly enjoyed our round. Staff was very friendly. I'd recommend to anyone.
good course
played the course after trying out slammer & squire a month ago. great condition, just not as challenging as I thought it would be, but a few greens were small targets. greens and tee boxes in outstanding shape as were the fairways, but pretty straightforward. I booked a hot deal which made the price very good, but I cant see paying the full price of $139 to play it. enjoyable round on a slow day so I almost had the course to myself. the slammer course I found to be much more scenic.
Like a dream!
This course was fun. Very nice greens, fairways, tee boxes and bunkers. You couldn't find a flaw in the landscaping and the clubhouse was amazing. It was something speacial being a golf fan on that course.
