Reviews
Very nice experience
Staff could not find me on the tee sheet for the first few minutes, I got very nervous but they got it all squared away, staff inside and out were professional and polite and happy, very helpful, paired with 2 very nice guys from Canada. Wanted to pick up a few things from the pro shop but it was to late, they were closed
Overall we all had a great time and the course was in excellent condition. Will be coming back.
Over charged
I set the reservation through GolfNow and it’s I would owe $197.34 at the course after paying $41 up front. But I got charged $213.13 at the course when I paid in the pro shop??
Over-hyped
The clubhouse and proshop were extremely hot and everything was disorganized. The staff inside were pleasant enough.
The starter was a complete jackwad and made our group of 8 immediately question our decision to play this course. You would have thought he wanted nobody there and acted like we had never played a round of golf anywhere before and that we were about to enter the hallowed grounds of Aigusta. It's like he was the lead performer at a one man show as his speel took like 15 minutes and we almost missed our tee time. ABSOLUTELY ridiculous!
The course was in below average condition, especially compared to King & Bear. Price was good but pace of play was very slow. Probably because of the starter honestly.
Overall, I would not play this course again, which is the only one (out of 8) that I can say for Florida.
King and bear
Over priced for overall quality
Greens are excellent to be fair but a little shabby around the edges
Course staff were
Outstanding,
3h45mins
Great course, slow play
The course and the layout were excellent. However the pace of play was extremely disappointing and greatly affected our experience. Better course management by rangers is really needed as well as the lack of on course concessions.
disappointed
Not sure why the course would allow 250 reservations in one day. we didn’t get to finish the round and we started at 3:13pm. We left at 8:00pm because there was a line on 17 and 18. i placed this reservation in February in hopes of them not overbooking near my party’s tee time. Tee times ended up being 5 minutes apart and it was unorganized.
Good St Augustine option
The is a good option in St. Augustine. Greens were in good shape but slow. Hard to predict the break. Slowed down at the end with some slow groups in front of us. Staff was extremely friendly!
Great challenging course
Course is in great condition. Greens are fast but whole course has its challenges. Great facilities and staff is great!
One of my favorite golf outings.
Exceptional service with check-in and getting on the course.
Nice place to play.
Course was in nice condition. Greens were perfect. Newer greens so we were told they would be firm, which they were but nothing to be concerned about. Good shots stop just fine. The only poor item was the hole cutting, some cups were barely below the surface and most were raised edges, not my expectation for such an expensive course. It didnt ruin my day, just a surprise.
Nice course
The course is very Nice but they charge you a resort fee of $10 per person plus 3% extra if you use credit card. Finally it comes very expensive.
Pace of Play.
First off I played as a single on a busy day and knew I had to be very patient and knew there would be waits between shots. Front 9 was played in 2:05 (excellent). Back nine 2:30 (poor), for total time over 4:30. No Marshall in sight. Sorry but too much waiting..
