user friendly and visually attractive
I enjoyed playing the white tees, 5700 yards, although a bit long for me as a female. The course is fair and very well maintained. Would love to play it 2 or 3 times a week.
Nice layout
Start time @ 3:30 twilight discount, free balls @ driving range but nobody came to tell us when it is our time to start, web site mentionned GPS on every cart, there were no GPS on any cart we would have appreciate at least a yardage book to help us for a first time on the course.
King & Bear is a very nice course but for the money spent we would have expected a bit more.
Good shape
First time in WGV, and it was very beautiful and challenging course. Love the layout and apple!
The King & Bear did a great job
Staff very professional courtious made you feel comfortable
All facilities of world golf village
We play the afternoon just after shot gun ladies tournament.
Very good course preparation ( fairways and green )
Good opportunity to play with friendly members
Perfect day
World golf village is a great place for golf activities
more difficult than slammer & squire golf course . More challenging. Arnold palmer signature through high quality bunkers. Great course
Great Course Highly Recommend
My Wife and I went to St. Augustine to get away for a few days for her birthday. We had talked about playing some golf somewhere while we were in town and found the slammer and squire on www.golfnow.com. It was a great price considering it was peak season and the course was in excellent shape. Staff was super friendly. I highly recommend playing. I will def be back again. A+++++
Reminds you of playing a championship course
Excited to play course, the only problem was the twosome we were paired with. They played like they had all the time in the world. We had the whole course backed up behind us, it made me nervous. They were nice guys, but slower than mud. The staff and the course were well worth the money. Had a great time for five and one half hours. Hope to do it again and get a different twosome to play with, thanks for the chance to play.
Avery pleasant day of golf.
The course was in excellent condition and the staff met you at the Bag Drop and looked after your every need, very friendly. A very pleasant day.
Tournament quality course
The course is kept in beautiful condition. Smooth greens, solid challenge, but fair layout. It is a "tourist" course, so expect some slow play. The beauty and tranquility of the course help alleviate that though. Since the course sits on the grounds of the World Golf Hall of Fame, I would suggest planning on arriving early or allowing time after your round to take the tour of the facility.
Top quality course, prefer to book T times through Golfnow.com!
Great course, a bit costly for my level of play. However, course is always in excellent condition, and forgiving if you don't try to take chances -- "Course Management"! Enjoyed our round, staff is very friendly and willing to answer question. Apple barrel @ 10 is a great touch!
A Challenging Course
Played Feb. 2013 and the conditions were superb for this time of year. Greens rolled true and the overall layout was very challenging. Nice assortment of holes. Cannot beat the service and the whole experience. Playing Arnie and Jack's combo is well-worth the visit. Also, clubhouse has nice amenities and staff was very attentive.
Beautiful facilities. Make time to visit the Golf Hall of Fame.
The course was in superb shape. It is beautiful, challenging, but fair. The facilities are magnificent from the practice areas to the restaurants. Make sure you visit the Golf Hall of Fame. It is a must do.
good value
I played this course on a very cold and windy day. It is a good test of your golf skills, especially during harse conditions. This course appears to get more play than the other, so the conditions are not quite to the same level. That said, it is still in very good shape for this time of year.
top condition
My group said a number of times during the round that this was probably the best conditioned golf course we have ever played during the winter time. The greens and surrounding areas could not have been in better shape. It was really a great experience!
Good course in excellent condition.
Enjoyed the course; excellent value through golf.now.com
excellent
It was an excellent experience. Course was challenging and fun to play. Overall excellent.
Great Course & Value
Played this course on a Friday and then again on a Monday. I made my tee time on GolfNow 30 minutes before showing up at the course, but despite my quick reservation, the staff had my reservation, was super friendly and went out of their way to make my experience wonderful!
excellent
was unable to get any discount golfnow due to time constraints ( catching flight that afternoon.) played 2 other courses in 3 days this was best . Slammer & squire (very close to this course as far as review ) also 1/2 price since had flexability as far as time. also amelia island which is nothing more then muny course plus very crowded and slow
Treat yourself
A little expensive but if you want to treat yourself this is one to consider. The course is always in great shape and the staff treats you well
