Good design, staff was friendly and pace was good. We played on a "Hot Deal", would probably not pay full rate to play here though.

Weather was pretty cool for FLA. Course was in great shape. Played with a member who was a delight to play with & really knew the course. Would play again ant time.

Great course and in excellent condition. If you're hitting the ball decently you will score well. I would play it again in a heartbeat!

I am normally a big fan of this course and have played it many times, however, this round was the most frustrating round in recently memory. This was due to the fact that in my 25 years of playing golf, I have never played a course with such ridiculous pin placements on 16 of 18 holes. The course was not set up for enjoyment and was unplayable with the wind conditions. Congratulations to the staff for making this a memorable (a.k.a. miserable) experience!

Had a good experience. Saw the hall of fame and played the king and bear course. Very good course, challenging yet fair. Would recommend to my friends.

Awesome golf course...immaculate conditions...worth every penny.

Played the tips and at 7200+ yards it was all the couse I wanted, played with others who played the whites and it offered an awesome look for them too. Would play again. Was in awesome shape with fast contoured greens.

For the middle of December, the course was in great shape. Just thinking about who designed it and the way it played took my breath away.

Got last minutes Hot Deal from GolfNow ... Course condition was lush ... green was not lightning fast ... somewhat forgiving even for high handicappers ... highly recommended.

Tee boxes, fairways, greens lush & plushly carpeted w/o any weeds. Wide tee shot landing ares. Large elevated greens rolling true & fast. Some unique hole layouts. Top notch Pro shop & clubhouse located adjacent to the Golf Hall of Fame. Battery powered carts w/ windshield & rain cover in back. An expensive course I'd never be able to afford, as well as most people & that's why the pace was tremendously good because hardly anyone was playing.

My wife and I got a great to play the King and Bear from Golf Now and thoroughly enjoyed every part of our experience. This course is beautiful to look at and very playable. Pace of play was great ,greens and fairwAys in excellent condition and support staff very friendly. We couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more.

It was extremely cold for the area (40 when I started at 9:30) and I was the first person off the 1st tee. Course was in great condition - especially the greens. I played the King&Bear two days before and was really disappointed in the course's condition so I was concerned this course would be in the same condition. Bad storms came through the area a couple of days before but you couldn't tell it by the course - it was prestine! Overall, a great experience!

This is a very enjoyable experience except for 5:45 hour pace of play.

The complimentary iced apples on the first and tenth made my round! I booked a hot deal through golf now and had two other awesome playing partners. We played in the morning in under 4 hours. There are some very awesome holes and I am planning on playing here again tomorrow. Wish I could get as good of a deal on the Slammer & Squire course.

If you like to practice before your round, arrive early. Range balls are complimentary and should be for the cost of the green fees. Nice chipping area and large practice green. Found that the speed of the practice green was a close match to the course greens. Plenty of friendly rangers to keep up the pace of play. Played it once before paying full rack rate, and said it wasn't worth that cost. When I saw the 48% discount on GolfNow, I jumped at the chance to play it again and am glad I did. Impeccable course condition.

You will not be bored with this well designed course. The greens are excellent.

The course was not as good as I would have imagine it to be. The workers were only so/so, the pace was terrible as we waited on 16 of 18 holes. The design was nice, but there are better in Fla for the price. Use Golfnow to get discount because it would not be worth paying the full price. I played S&S a few years ago and liked it better. As far as recommending to a friend maybe just to say you played WGV, but not because of the course itself.

I agree completely with 10/30/2014 review. The course had been recently overseeded, the fairways were wet (rain, dew, watering), and it was cart path only. None of this was mentioned in golfnow reservation. My wife and I had to take 2-3 clubs, range finder, and divot sand back and forth on every shot. It was not fun. There were several crews doing work on the bunkers. We quit after 9 holes and we are not quitters. The course should have been closed. We saw only one other group of golfers on the course.

This course was fantastic. The greens and fairways were awesome! The marshals were great. The weather was great in the end of October.
The only downers are Golfnow still shows that the course has GPS included and it does not...and this course is a little higher priced than the sister course the Slammer and the Squire but does not clean your clubs or include a shuttle from or to your car... so im just not sure why it would be higher priced?
