About Callaway Resort & Gardens
Callaway Resort & Gardens is a 2,500-acre retreat in Pine Mountain, Georgia, about an hour's drive from Atlanta. The property was founded in 1952 and today features 36 holes of golf and many more natural and outdoor activities on the grounds to explore. The resort is home to the Lake View and Mountain View 18-hole golf courses, both wind and tumble through the rugged and forested terrain. The Callaway Resort & Gardens is set on Robin Lake, which has a beach area, while there is a robust events calendar bringing arts and entertainment to the property. In addition to golf, there are three pools onsite, workshops, hiking, tennis and a spa. The Treetop Adventure is a series of ziplines and bridges in the trees, and there is also a large butterfly center and birds of prey exhibit. For restaurants, there is a multitude of dining areas ranging from fine to casual, beach and poolside fare. Accommodations range from rooms and suites in The Lodge and Spa; more relaxed cottages with full kitchens and fireplaces; large and upscale villas; and the more affordable Mountain Creek Inn.Facts

Great hole! Photo submitted by dongolf0123 on 04/21/2014
very good conditions
I Enjoyed the round and the greens were in good shape except one
Excellent Golf Course
Incredible course. Callaways Golf Courses never disappoint. A must go!!!
Sure bet in GA
Every time I visit GA Callaway Gardens is a must play for me. Challenging course with something for all levels
Excellent Round
Peaceful, beautiful course, and surrounding area. Overall well maintained course, greens were quick, and the pin position was tough for not knowing the greens. Not long but you have to position shots on numerous holes to have a solid second shot. Will definitely be back to Callaway Gardens. Thanks.
Friends
It is a great challenging golf course. The best part was the friends I got paired with to play. We had fun and the weather was great.
Still a challenge
Course still in good shape and a pleasure to play. The greens and bunkers are in good shape. The fairways are ok for March.
A shot makers challange
You wont need driver much, you will need to be sharp with your approach shot due to undulating greens and Sunday pin positions.
Good deal on GolfNow
I got a great deal on GolfNow. Had I paid full price, I would have been very disappointed in the course. The course was in very good shape considering the recent amount of rain. I would definitely play again if I find the same deal.
Tt
Course was great. Snack bar/restaurant was closed for the off season
this course is non stresful
We played from the back tees and found it testing but not too difficult. You don't really need driver on many of the holes specially on the front. The course is beautiful and fun to play.
Solid Value
Thanks to Golf Now, I was able to secure a tee time on short notice for a great deal. The course was challenging with sloping fairways, lots of sand traps, and the greens quick. I was paired up with another single who had course knowledge which made the day even better. I will definitely share my experience with others.
Always Immaculate
Tight, challenging course. There's a reason the PGA made several stops back in the 2000's here. Course is well maintained! Always groomed to perfection. This is a very beautiful course! I would absolutely recommend playing here at least once! But i assure you, you will wish you booked 36 holes after you play the first 18!!!!!
Love this course!!!
Prefer it to Mountain - pace of play and scenery are both much better!!! Love old school courses - unique challenges and I get to hit every club in the bag. Highly recommend to beginners - large fairways and not very long, but fun. More highly skilled golfers have a chance for risk/reward shots and to put a good number on the scorecard if you are striking the ball and clubbing well...
Greens were in great condition and fast!
Had a great time even though my score didn't. Course was in good condition.
Possibly the Greatest Deal on GolfNow
How many courses on GolfNow have hosted a PGA event? The Mountain View course hosted the Buick Southern Open for many years. This is an outstanding course in top condition. Greens are fast with many subtle and not-so-subtle breaks so placing your approach is key. Woods line most of the holes, with little water, no OB, and no houses. However, multiple large bunkers surround many greens and along some fairways. Part of the Callway Gardens complex. Superb practice facilitiies and a top notch pro shop. A Hot Deal here might be the best value round of golf you will ever play.
Fun
Excellent course. Fairways are forgiving, greens are small, fast and guarded by bunkers. Very scenic especially in the spring.
Newbie's Review
I'm a 40 handicap and have only been playing for about 4 months first of all. This was my first course to play outside my home club. I found this course both extremely challenging and fun. It was because of the mixture of hazards, open fairways, and strategic points. I was very surprised by the fact I actually hit the tee TOO far on a couple of par 4's!
I was really able to improve my game by playing this course!
Diamond in the rough
Classic old style course- better bring all of your shots - elevated greens ; deep bunkers
Georgia golf at it's best.
Found a great deal on GolfNow. Bermuda greens were in excellent condition. It's a stroll through the beauty of nature; course is very scenic and peaceful with just the birds chirping and deer and squirrels playing.
Callaway Gardens is a beautiful rsort.
Callaway Gardens is a scenically beautiful natural area; the Lake View course reflects that.
