Mountain View at Callaway Gardens Resort

Greens were recently aerated and sanded so putting was very challenging. The course needs rain to help the grass fill in fairways and greens so it’s still showing winter dormancy. Still love playing there and looking forward to going back.

Had a great time! The staff is friendly and helpful and the course is nicely laid out. The greens are in the middle of the spring grass care. So long as you don't keep scores or compete in your group, you will have a wonderful time.

Course is not in good shape. It needs four to six weeks of warm weather and rain to come back from cold winter weather. They are working on it. Greens are really bad. Like putting in a sand pile.

Mountain View course is getting better. Greens were much better than the last time I played there. Tees and fairways were pretty good considering there was a two inch rain storm two days ago but not cart patch only.? Pace was great! 3 1:2 hours.?got a great deal from Golf now!!

After arriving at the course, they informed me that the Mountain course is closed today for maintenance. But since the course was available at the time I made the reservation on Golf Now, I was able to have the entire course to myself that day. I thoroughly enjoyed my day.

The course and greens is getting better everyday. Charlie and his staff had done the work and it shows.

I paid $80 for the worst conditions I've seen this course in 25 years. I've not been to Callaway gardens in approximately 6 months but a friend of mine told me a few months back they were repairing the greens. Imagine my surprise when I went out Saturday to find the greens were just as bad as they have been over the last couple of years. My friend and I were also charged $80 a piece for terrible conditions. If it were not for the layout and The prestige of hosting a tour event in the late 90s and early 2000s, I would not even consider this golf course at all. Save your money and drive another half hour south to Opelika and play Robert Trent jones. Callaway gardens and the mountain course are just not worth it. Certainly not an $80 golf course. I would not pay more than 30 or $40 at the most for those conditions.

They have done a lot of work on the course to have the greens in good shape. The sod is almost all the way in now.

Holes were open to play! They don’t even let u know York after u pay, the course was a long jam and decided to leave after playing 3 holes in 75 minutes! No apologies, no marshall or anyone to regulate pace of play. I had an 11 tee time and was stuck behind guys that made the turn on hole number 9 and started off again on hole 1 instead of hole 10

I drove 2 hours each way with my son to play the Mountain View course to find out the front 9 has been closed since Jun and will reopen Labor Day. I typically go to Callaway to play both courses on the same day it make the drive worth wild and the second course is only $35 extra. I failed to look to see the Lakeside is closed on Monday, on me. But to get to the clubhouse and they inform me you are playing the back 9 twice is really sucked after that drive. The closure is not on the Course website either. The upkeep and maintenance is not up to previous years. Awful sod patching on greens, some of them are depressions and not flat with surrounding. Grass growing in the hard packed sand traps. The lake edges are now 3-4 foot high weeds and not cut anymore even in the fairway where you are playing over them. The tee boxes not freshly cut. Spots on the greens of clumps of weeds growing. Water leaks on a bunch of holes also. I have played here once a year most years for 25 years and this was the worst condition even thru past summer droughts.

We got rained out. Can I please get a refund. Charles was the person working on Sunday Aug 3rd.

It's a nice course. Green is in progress to recover. Fairway is good. Good value for hot deal price.
