Lake View at Callaway Gardens Resort

Despite some greens with weed and/or dirt surfaces and despite some fairways with high grass to cover up the balls, this course is picturesque and truly enjoyable. Had some interaction with other players and they were all nice players.

Sedge and goose grass on the greens so prolific that you could not putt with out it throwing the ball way off line. Most greens had dead spots or irrigation blow outs on them. Practice green was same way and looked like it had not been mowed it a week. Debris and thick grass clippings all over fairway and in rough. Tee boxes are just as bad. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

First time playing Lakeview Course in 2026. Fairways were good. 17 out of 18 greens were good. Even though the rough between fairways and cart paths were not as deep as other times, they were deep enough to cause 2 lost drives inside of cart paths. Very frustrating to not find those two drives in play.

The staff is outstanding. Unloading clubs personnel very courteous.

Pro shop attendant, Dawn, very polite and courteous.

Course fairways very well maintained. A few greens need attention, but are being improved on.

Had the most relaxing round. It is always a pleasant experience to play here. Some greens had weeds. My wife and I always have a great round at this course.

I live about 40 min from Calloway.. I play there st least 5 or 6 times a year.. both mountain and lake course.... just recently played the lake course, and dude...... it has looked so much better.. especially the greens... I'd say at least 10 out of the 18 greens were covered in weeds, dried out, or overly soaked with water.. none of the greens rolled the same and was not at all worth the $55 we paid to play that day.... not saying that the course was bad.. but dangit man, the place has fallen apart... 👎

Some of the greens need a little work. But a great experience overall.

The fairway was freshly cut, the rough needs to be blown off with all the grass trimings, and the green was consistsnt

Lakeview is an extremely difficult and technical course. Fairways and greens had severe undulation. There were 90° dog legs. Most of the greens were protected by at least three bunkers. Even good shots were penalized as huge trees leaned out over the fairway on both sides.

It’s a good course to get away and play with some friends, but don’t try to keep or shoot a good score

Green need some work there was patches missing all over. Grill opens at 11am could open earlier. Otherwise everything was good.

They need to even out the greens and clean up cut grass off the fairway. Putting was way too slow due to length of grass and uneven grass on the greens

This was once a signature golf getaway that has slowly declined over recent years but has now really hit the bottom. It’s really sad to see what has been allowed to happen to these two courses. The Lake course was the only on open and it was overgrown. The fairways were like looking for a ball hidden in the rough. Mounds upon mounds of grass clippings. The rough, forget about if hit into, have to step on the ball to find it and the greens were like what it’d be putting on a normal fairway. A 3 wood would’ve putted better on than a putter.
