About
Nestled in the southernmost foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, Callaway Gardens was created in 1952 to preserve the local environment, from the native wetlands to the abundant forests of mature trees. Golf at Callaway Gardens is a unique experience in that you'll be completely submerged in nature and surrounded by wildlife. The resort’s two golf courses, Lake View and Mountain View, are challenging enough for avid golfers but they are scenic and playable enough to appeal to players of all skill levels. The Lake View Course is the original layout. It offers a slightly more player-friendly round with wider fairways and generous greens. There are more water holes on this golf course, nine total, including five holes that are routed along Mountain Creek Lake. The signature par-3 10th hole features an intimidating island green.

Aerated day before
GolfPass please indicate when a course has aereated the greens within the last 3 weeks.
Nice Daily Fee Course in need of a little TLC
Greens were inconsistent with a large number of invasive weeds throughout. Several teeing areas are grass thin due to being in close proximity to large shade producing trees.
Overall, a nice layout for the $$, with lots of potential. A little TLC on the greens and tee areas would go a long way in improving the golfer's experience.
Would play here again.
Im looking forward to playing callaway gardens again when the course conditions improve after winter. Course was soggy the day of, but I was unaware of heavy rains the day before. Excellent layout on the course, cart girl drove around 3 times during our round. Tighter fairways so cart path only was tolerable. Good course, 3.75 out of 5 for me
Fun
Great fun layout. Conditions were good overall especially considering the time of year. Greens are a bit slow but in good shape.

The greens could be in better shape on both courses. But overall the conditions are great! The staff and service is top notch! Great employees who care!
Lakeview at Callaway Gardens
The course is always good. Had to search some for my golf balls because of leaves. They usually keep the leaves blown off the fairways and rough. Wasn't a big issue, just a little time consuming playing by yourself
Pleased to See Improvements
This was a wonderful course to play several years ago, then course conditions declined over the past few years.

Callaway Gardens Lake
Course conditions significantly better since the greens have been worked on.
Fun course.You have to fly the ball on to the greens bunkers guard the approach.
Enjoyable, always
My wife and I always have the most pleasant round at this club. No starters, marshals, or manner-less players. It's all up to universal common sense and courtesy of the players. The Lakeview course was in the periodic maintenance phase, so if you are very serious about the scores, this may not be the best time to play. Nonetheless, we had a wonderful time.
Lake view course
Tee boxes in good shape, fairways very nice, rough was solid, bunkers were in good shape…… the greens not so much. They are working to repair them but they are just not in good shape at the moment. I would play again anytime though because the course is beautiful and the greens are the final piece of the puzzle.
Great layout and amenities
I really enjoy playing at Callaway when I can redeem hot deals through GolfNow. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and the pro shop has many options of food/merchandise. Course upkeep can sometimes leave some to be desired, with bunkers sometimes having the lining exposed and greens sometimes having noticeable imperfections and bumps. With that being said, the chance to play this course at around $30-35 still makes it great value for the price. Will be playing here again.
This course was great for the family.
We had a group of 4 plus 1 junior. The staff was accommodating with our tee time as one player was running a little late. We played Lakeview, and it was challenging to find hole one. They said to follow the blue arrows, but we found ourselves searching for them. It took us a while to get started because of this.

The course is in great condition for good scoring opportunities
