About Callaway Resort & Gardens
Callaway Resort & Gardens is a 2,500-acre retreat in Pine Mountain, Georgia, about an hour's drive from Atlanta. The property was founded in 1952 and today features 36 holes of golf and many more natural and outdoor activities on the grounds to explore. The resort is home to the Lake View and Mountain View 18-hole golf courses, both wind and tumble through the rugged and forested terrain. The Callaway Resort & Gardens is set on Robin Lake, which has a beach area, while there is a robust events calendar bringing arts and entertainment to the property. In addition to golf, there are three pools onsite, workshops, hiking, tennis and a spa. The Treetop Adventure is a series of ziplines and bridges in the trees, and there is also a large butterfly center and birds of prey exhibit. For restaurants, there is a multitude of dining areas ranging from fine to casual, beach and poolside fare. Accommodations range from rooms and suites in The Lodge and Spa; more relaxed cottages with full kitchens and fireplaces; large and upscale villas; and the more affordable Mountain Creek Inn.Facts

Great hole! Photo submitted by dongolf0123 on 04/21/2014
Ugly greens
Greens were horrible. Too much weeds all over the green. I won't play this course unless they fix this problem.
Great value
Really enjoyed our round. Greens didn’t look very good, but putted well. I will definitely make the 1 hour drive to play Mountain View again!
Terrible pace of play!
I’ve been golfing once a week almost for the past 3-4 years and I’ve never seen more terrible pace of play than when I played at callaway lake course. Didn’t even get to play but 12 holes because we had to skip so many trying to finish the round. Groups behind us were driving into us while we were waiting for the group ahead of us. Just horrible experience. Only good thing is the course is beautiful so we had “a-lot” more time to enjoy the view.
great course great golfnow price
Course was in great shape for this time of the year. Rough was extremely high because of the wetness. this caused the loss of balls and difficulty in finding of balls. Greens were in great shape and very fast . Traps were in great shape for this time of year.
Mountain view
The course was overall good The bunkers need more sand or work on them. Greens were slow and not good.
great course
this course is great love playing there. staff is always friendly ,and helpful, would recommend this course to anyone
Needs a first cut!
The Bermuda rough is so thick and rough that it’s fairway or nothing, they need a shorter first cut off the fairway then into rough length, your ball can literally roll inches off the fairway and you WILL NOT FIND IT !!! Mentally it’s troublesome in your golf game when you hit a good shot! Also slows down pace of play big time with folks trying to find their ball.
