Callaway Resort & Gardens
About Callaway Resort & Gardens
Callaway Resort & Gardens is a 2,500-acre retreat in Pine Mountain, Georgia, about an hour's drive from Atlanta. The property was founded in 1952 and today features 36 holes of golf and many more natural and outdoor activities on the grounds to explore. The resort is home to the Lake View and Mountain View 18-hole golf courses, both wind and tumble through the rugged and forested terrain. The Callaway Resort & Gardens is set on Robin Lake, which has a beach area, while there is a robust events calendar bringing arts and entertainment to the property. In addition to golf, there are three pools onsite, workshops, hiking, tennis and a spa. The Treetop Adventure is a series of ziplines and bridges in the trees, and there is also a large butterfly center and birds of prey exhibit. For restaurants, there is a multitude of dining areas ranging from fine to casual, beach and poolside fare. Accommodations range from rooms and suites in The Lodge and Spa; more relaxed cottages with full kitchens and fireplaces; large and upscale villas; and the more affordable Mountain Creek Inn.Facts

DOESN'T GET MUCH BETTER!
The staff, the course and the location is really great for anyone within 1.5 hours of Callaway Gardens. The best courses in the area, with tees time usually readily available at reasonable prices for the quality of the courses. Both courses generally have are generally overall are in very good condition, but the Lakeview Course fairways can be a little "thin" and because it seems somewhat more "level" and a bit more "shady" in some areas, so it can play a bit more soft/muddy for several days after rainy conditions, so be aware of that possibility and if it's windy, "put on your "big boy/girl pants" and get ready for more challenges. It's worth the trip for our group every time!!
Resort-style golfing
It‘s always fun to play golf at Callaway Gardens. Walkers, bikers and boaters are all over the place on a busy weekend. A dad with his young children tried to use one of the bunkers as playground. Besides that golfing was fun. Great layout around Lake Wren, signature island hole on #10. Fairways and greens have been well maintained, tee-boxes need some upgrade. I‘ll come back for sure when in the area.
Lovely course
I felt the course conditions were better than expected. The greens were excellent. The fairways were in great conditions. The tee boxes were in good condition. The rough eats your balls up so pay close attention where your ball lands. I would definitely play here again.
Fantastic Fun
Great course; really a nice location too..."far from the maddening crowd"! Regular host to collegiate tournaments; nice family activity location too!
GREAT DAY
Callaway is ALWAYS enjoyable to play; course conditions are always nice and well maintained and the staff is always cordial and accomodating
Overpriced
Course is nice but more like a $45 course. The lake view was very similar but cheaper
Beautiful course. Lake view course more forgiving than Mountain View. Staff very accommodating/our tee time was 10:30 and let us tee off early. Fairways are well maintained. Hard to find your ball if it rolls to the first cut/fairways are wide though... Well definitely be back!
Stay in fairway
We all know it’s important to keep our hits in the fairway but just off the fairway The first cut can allow you to lose your ball in plain open sight the grass just sucks the ball into the ground. There’s nothing I hate worse than having a ball that is in place and just off the fairway and you can’t find your ball. Other than that an absolutely great day greens were in great condition and really enjoyed my time at the course
Beautiful Course
First time playing the Lakeview Course! Very beautiful course, but you must keep it in the fairway! Will definitely be playing again!
