About Chateau Elan Winery & Resort
Chateau Elan Winery & Resort is a golf resort located in the North Georgia mountains to the northeast of the Atlanta metro area in Braselton. This 3,500-acre estate is home to a nearly 300-room and suite resort (with a collection of villas as well), winery and four golf courses (one of which is accessible to members only). In addition to two 18-hole resort courses, there is a 9-hole executive course. The resort completed a $25 million enhancement project in September, 2020, the first major renovation since the property opened in the 1980s. The lobby was entirely redesigned and there are four new dining concepts. Additional activities at Chateau Elan include an outdoor pool, tennis courts and culinary studio.Facts

This was the #13 green if i'm not mistaken. Can see how nice the sand bunkers were and how nice the green was. Photo submitted by bryan6804634 on 09/16/2016
Really a very nice course with great facilities and staff
It is a bit of a splurge to play here, but we thought it was well worth it. The restaurant (Sarazens) provides a good breakfast, the staff was welcoming and friendly, the driving range was very nice and the carts were top notch, and the course was in really good shape for early spring. This course was fairly narrow, with a lot of scenic holes that made for a great round of golf and a great day. We would be happy to play here again.
Cart path only troubles
I can understand the course being cart path only as there were plenty of places where it was soft and wet. Totally fine not driving in those areas. My issue comes with the horrible geofencing of the carts. I believe the geofencing lines were drawn too close to the actual cart path. The other cart in our group stopped every few yards because it for some reason perceived that it was outside the designated boundary. I hope this issue can be resolved soon.
Otherwise it was a nice course and the greens rolled well.
Not very good any longer. I could have played 18 holes elsewhere for &10 more!
Course was in overall bad shape and very crowded after I had asked and the person I dealt with said it was wide open. Not, gate was open and apparently people were coming in and playing free. No little shack any longer open with an attendant any longer so no bathroom and no snacks or drinks. used to be nice when they had an attendant! Not now!
Never Disappoints
One of the best courses in the Atlanta area. Always in great shape. Good mix of challenging and moderate holes.
Need Rangers
Need rangers to improve pace of play.
No military discount unless active duty. When I was on active duty, I was not around to play.
Value represents condition
What can you really complain about being $25 to play nine holes on a part three course. The grains are in pretty rough condition but again considering it’s $25 it’s kind of what you would expect, but with the name that Château Allan has for their other courses. I would expect it to be a little bit better taken care of. Staff is friendly as always love going to château and playing just wish they would pay a little more attention to the executive course I would be willing to pay a little bit more for better well maintained course.
Greens just went through aeration and roughs have quite a bit of hard pan with plenty of rocks and roots.
Hopefully, there will be improvement with the warmer months ominh up and better maintenance.
I agree on the military discount. How many active duty are in the area? I am a disabled veteran and appreciate a discount for my service to my country.
