I played at woodland,, but it was raining on 8th hall,,

So we waited for 20min,, so we call proshop and asked we could get raincheck?? He answered yes come to proshop,, so we stopped waiting and went to the proshop,, but he said I couldn't get raincheck because I booked by golfnow,, and also golfnow doesn't do anything for us,,,,, anyway it was terrible experience,,,,,,

Beautiful golf course. 9 hole par 3. Nice undulations and rolling hills, lots of water and some bunkers. Longer par 3 when you play the back tees. Lake shot on the 9th hole is cool.

Fun to play, but expensive for a 3-par

The staff is always friendly & accommodating. The new carts are awesome! The are super clean with excellent GPS on board. Course conditions could have been better. The practice green was perfect, clean, fast & fun to putt & when we got on the course, the greens were slow, bumpy with brown blotches/stressed areas. It would be nice if the greens on the course matched the practice green. For the price of the "green fees" they should be better.

For my fellow golfers - Do your part to keep the course in great condition. if you don't know golf etiquette, get yourself accustomed to what is expected on the course or find another sport to play. Watched the group in front of us multiple times hit out of bunkers & never once raking. Which I landed in one of their foot craters on 18. As well as, leave an absolute mess on the greens dragging their feet & never once bending over to fix a ball mark. How do I know this? They defined a new definition of slow, just because you see the tour pros 5 minute pre-shot routine doesn't mean you should replicate. And, you are welcome for picking up your pitching wedge and giving it back (proper golf etiquette) you probably just forgot to say thank you!

The greens are getting.destroyed by bad golfers not fixing their ball marks. Education, signage and a Marshall would be nice.

For 92$ and this being a discounted price I was totally dissatisfied. I have played this course for cheaper and in better shape!

The greens were beat up! probably because they were so soft.Not from the rain.

The sand traps had bermuda grass growing into the edges about 4 to 6 inches. Needed trimmed out. Plus the traps were not raked out. Looks like they haven’t been touched in weeks.

The second cut was so high!

It was a Friday morning! I would think thats when the course should look its best! Getting ready for the weekend.

No cart helpers at the bag drop!

I won’t be back to llay any of the courses at Chateau Elan.

This course exceeded expectations. It was in fantastic condition, greens in great shape, the pace of play was fast. We might have waited on two holes during a Saturday morning. Look forward to playing again as well as checking out the other courses here.

Challenging Par 3 course. Only issue was to amount of ball marks on all the greens. Will come back again because we were not using it for putting but to work on our short game irons.

The course was in very rough shape due to the large amounts of rain we received lately. I get that. Sand washed completely out of bunkers with 2 foot deep potholes, washout and mud all throughout fairways, and maintenance crew out in full force. There in lies the problem for me. I went off at 8:20 AM and had maintenance crew on eight of my 18 holes. And I wasn’t following the same guy around, that’s just how much work was going on. And if there’s this much work that needs to be done, I personally would rather you guys close the course for the day to get it right and done in a timely manner instead of being a distraction or nuisance to the customer, especially for the price it is to play here. And at the very least, give us a heads up in the pro shop. I don’t think the cart path only sign gave enough explanation as to what we were to experience this round. I love Château and will continue to give them my money. I frequent the range multiple times a week, enjoy the multiple putting greens and practice facility, love the Woodlands and the par three course. Looking forward to another chance to experience the château course in all of its glory..

I played the Woodlands course. It's absolutely beautiful! The overall conditions are very good except 1 or 2 tee boxes need some improvements. Like other GA courses in the area, the undulating greens are soft and smooth but a little too slow. I am not sure why they don't make the beautiful greens faster to increase the level of fun and challenges. Given the softness of the greens, it's easy to make a big ball mark, players should fix their ball marks. The course also gives a preview of the beautiful big houses surrounding the course. A recommendation for playing the GA (or mountainous) courses is to have a range finder with the slope feature; otherwise, you will struggle with estimating the approach shot distances---ask me how I know about this.
