Great Course
Excellent course one of the few courses played with sandtraps well maintained. Greens also great shape. About a hour drive but worth it.
Nice lay out
This is a very nice course and is worth the drive. Has a lot of dog legs and the fairways are tight.
Not bad for the money
Played on a Wednesday early afternoon, not many folks there so pace of play great. Lots of doglegs, some challenging holes, especially the stretch of longer holes 10-14. So-so conditions, could use some weed killer. Plays a little longer than scorecard with stronger holes uphill.
Overall decent, pretty challenging course from back tees. Reasonable value at $27.
Great Shape
Course was in great shape, good pace of play and allot of doglegs
Great course and value.
Greens are in great shape with challenging but fair course layout. Staff was very accommodating .
Good Course
First time playing this course are had no problem checking in and getting to the tee box. Most of the fairways were a little narrow and lined with trees. There were a few issues like bare spots both in the fairways and on the greens. Never saw a snack wagon or a marshal the entire time. I will be playing here again and next time I hope it is a lot dryer since several shots plugged and the greens were really slow as a result. Overall I would recommend this course if you want a above average challenge.
Staff needs to some work
The course itself is great. The front desk attendant was great, the marshal was awesome and kept things moving as best he could. The course was well kept, the greens were decent and the fairways were pretty good as well. No real issues with the course. Let me preface my issue. The first time I played at Fairfield I signed up online and booked my tee time online. During the sign up process, it asked for my birthday and said, "Free Round of Golf On Your Birthday." We were a day early than my birthday, but because of the possibility of bad weather on my actual birthday, I thought I would at least ask the question. "Hey, since there is the possibility of bad weather tomorrow, can I get my free round of golf today?" I wasn't going to be able to play on my birthday anyways. I guess it was a stupid question because the older gentleman who runs the Pro Shop basically made fun of me in front of a couple other golfers in the shop. Ok, so it might have been a dumb question, but how about a simple "Yes" or "No". I like the course but that was quite embarrassing. I certainly, at the time, didn't think it was a dumb question, but maybe it was.
Anyways, I have no other issues with this course. I will probably go back and play soon, but it might no be for a while.
The staff makes up for some course shortcomings
The course is a lot of fun, not difficult overall but enough tricky shots to keep your attention. The grounds are not pristine but, the staff outworks any shortcomings you may find with the course. Neat place, always fun
a few blind shots
Course was in good condition. Greens were still a
little bumpy from aeration. Bunkers had good sand.
Good variety with both easy and difficult holes.
Fun course to play. Staff was very friendly and
accommodating even tho we got lost and were
5 min late for our tee time.
Will definitely play here again!
Great layout. Friendly staff. I will play here again. Want to see the course in the spring. A little drive from Acworth but worth it.
Nice day, nice rate
Nice course hidden in NW GA near Carrollton. Winter conditions (some tee boxes iffy, dormant except for greens/tees), but the course playability was nice. Got out early when chilly to beat the crowd on a rare 75-degree day in February. Greens soft and receptive but fairly quick. Surprisingly nice bunkers - soft sand and all fresh raked - for the money. Staff and other golfers laid back and friendly, plus nice new carts. Tough to find, and plan on a few extra minutes at the guard gate plus navigating through large community to get to clubhouse.
max81968, we just wanted to thank you for your kind feedback! We hope to see you again soon.
