Staff???
Staff were rude because we used golf now. Complained about golf now to each of our foursome as the entered.
Snack bar staff ignored one of our players to get food and drinks.
Watered greens while we were playing. Tee time was at noon.
No one else on course so play was fast except for watering.
$11 for 18 holes is crazy.
The conditions were really great. Greens were soft enough to fly into and stop and the fairways were still firm enough to get some run. A couple of rainy days really make a difference. I had a good round in the low 80's for me a good score. Have played here on other occasions and have always liked playing here. Staff was really friendly.
Decent course, would like to play more.
It was a decent course, well maintained. Electric cart was quiet and nice.
Green condition was different. (very slow)
I'm not sure if its just different type of grass or what.
Overall, I liked the course and the staff.
Although it was Saturday, there was only few players and was able to enjoy the golf.
Short, a shot makers course
Course in very good condition, greens were rolling slow. Overall, fun course to play.
This course has great greens
The greens was in great shape.
Finally got a chance to play it.
My father would play this with a family friend whenever he would come to the area back in the 80's. Extremely good value with Monday rate. Not a great deal of water, but challenging nonetheless. Some holes were wide open while some are really tight. Back nine greens require a little work. Nice course.
This course test your game. Hit left and right off tee.
Nice course, green great, well maintain, would play course again. Price right. Staff great. Enjoyed my round.
Find another course to play.
The staff was very rude. The course was not in good condition and the greens are a 5 out of 10. Suggest playing elsewhere.
One the best layouts on the West side of Atlanta

In good shape for any time of year
The course was in good shape. The greens where good shape with just a few rough spots. There were some soggy areas but that is to be expected for this time year. I will definitely be playing there again in the near future. Also, if you are like me and can't always find the fairways, you will like how well everything is cleaned out and easily playable from the woods. Fortunately, I only lost one ball during my round but that was because I hit it extremely bad. Hope this helps out.
All you need to know
Those used to avg ratings of 3.8 or up on GolfNow for Metro Atlanta, don't buy into this course's trumped up ratings. It doesn't hold a candle to the likes of Chestatee, Cobblestone and other area courses that are rated similarly. Fairways were hardly maintained and the trash/rough areas were basically rocks and roots. Bring a GPS with a course map, very positional golf course..need to hit it in the right spots or you will be frustrated by good shots turned bad.
The course has great features
Great lay out, well kept, greens awesome and fast. I had very good round, the only problem was the leaves on the fairways, but that's expected this time of year.
Fairfield Plantation
For this time of year the course was in extremely good condition, and very well paced. We played 18 holes in under three and a half hours.
Great value for the money.
Great value. Friendliest marshal I've met
Very good course. Good facilities and friendly staff. Pace of play was the worst I've ever encountered. All together nearly 5 1/2 hours to play.
Hidden gem
Loved playing this course. This is a hidden gem of a place. Will definitely be back.
Good time
We had a great day and look forward to returning. A fee places on the greens need attention but we were impressed.
Much Improved
The course is in much better condition than last year.
Great value and new carts to go along with course improvements.
Great course with lots of potential
First time playing this course, but it definitely won't be my last. A bit tricky to get to, but it was worth the trip. First, the staff was very helpful and the layout of the course was just perfect. Maybe the only negatives that I found were that a lot of the greens were in not the best of shape with scattered brown spots and they were very slow, and the fairways were quite a bit soggy due to the recent rains. Having said that, the grounds crew were very busy repairing and fixing all over the place, so I think that things will be a lot better in the coming weeks. Also, the elevation changes and the undulating greens makes this a treat to play. This is such a fun course to play that I will definitely book my tee time as soon as I settle on a return date to the Atlanta area.
Nice course!
Nice neighborhood course, close proximity to my home. A little hard to find without a GPS. Semi-private was possibly the reason I was able to get a good tee time and an excellent rate. The value for the dollar was great! Some greens in poor condition, Cart paths damaged, but overall, nice layout. Not too long, but not too short either. Staff seemed somewhat helpful. Planning to play this course again in the very near future.
Dated but fun.
Fun course to play. One of the older courses in the area but still nice. Worth playing!!
