Georgia's Hard Labor Creek State Park is located on Lake Rutlege east of Atlanta off I-20. This state park facility features a range of accommodations from camp sites and RV sites to 20 2-bedroom cottages. Amenities here are highlighted by the 18-hole golf course designed by Denis Griffiths and features a pro shop, full driving range, grill and bar. Additional features of this state park, which is on the National Register of Historic Places, is horseback riding, off-road mountain biking, hiking, beachside swimming and boat rentals.Facts

Pace of Play
Love the course. The pace of play was a nightmare!! No Ranger to push the two foursomes in front us that kept hitting multiple tee shots. These 8 guys kept mingling with each other on the tees as well. We quit after 14 holes and 3-1/2 hours. Will

In the Monroe area, probably the best maintained course around. Especially considering the price.
I love hard labor... But the greens are brutal
Hard Labor is my favorite layout of any course. Challenging but fair if you know how to play it. The scenery can't be beat. You are in a state nature park! My only complaint is the greens. They are so bad... I was hoping by Spring they would grow in but they are almost unplayable. About 4 greens are patchy and more sand then grass. I don't understand why the staff won't seed the greens and work on getting them better. Could easily be a 5 star course with attention to the greens. Love the course overall.
Tough layout but poor greens
The course was decent. I bought a hot deal for a mid day tee time. The greens were challenging but they were bumpy, poorly maintained and were infested.
Fair ways and greens ..........☹
Most all fairways were in poor condition but 16 of 18 greens very bad condition also tee boxes in poor condition.......don't waste your money!

Needs repairs on parking lot (second row) pavement.

The weather was great and the greens rolled true. my wife sank a 50 put!! YEAH! NO houses very peaceful
Hard Labor
Good layout course needs to control cart traffic as what little grass there is is very thin so like playing bare lies greens need blown snd rolled to be more consistent it is dormant and damage can still be done
Would love to see the state put some bad needed money into the course because it really is a good and fun layout a lot of the real back tees are not being used and a lot of them are in very good shape
Hard Labor Golf
Read how great the greens were and fast . Found this to not be true. No speed and we’re inconsistent. Little bumpy as they needed blown off and rolled. Fun layout
and all should give it a play . Nice tree lined with elevation change . I am sure I just caught the course on a off day

Excellent course, super fast greens.
Love playing this course, challenging yet really fun.
