Bunkers
Good shape except bunkers and and a few fairways greens in good shape a little slow Lots of dampness on course
Can't wait to return!
Played this course for the first time on my birthday after recommendations from multiple people. It was GREAT!!! Not overcrowded, no houses just peace and quiet...truly a relaxing and enjoyable experience; not to mention the challenge of course itself...
Short not sweet
Short course really no driver need.fast greens.fade needed on first hole 3wood or long hybrid .rest of course is really short.
Great for a golfnow hotdeal at $15 per person
Don't get me wrong, the course was nice. However some of the fairways were cut unevenly and there was a LARGE amount of rolled up grass clippings in the fairways and around some greens. We actually lost two balls in these thick clippings. We saw the balls land and then just couldn't find them. That was pretty frustrating. Other than that, everything was great. We played in about 3.5 hours so that was good.
Great staff
I don't think I've ever experienced a friendlier staff than at The Creek. Love those guys!!! They treated us like we were members of and exclusive club. Keep it up!!
A Hidden Gem
If you have not had a chance to play this course yet, put t on your list for very near future plays. It definitely is worth the drive from any metro Atlanta area. The staff is very friendly and the course is so much fun to play. I take my nephews during their summers and the pro-shop folks are so accomodating to young and new players. Even when I show up during the week as a single player, you are most likely to be paired up with nice folks that have so much love for the game.
Greens were awful
GolfNow used to alert you when greens had been aerated. Guess they decided not to do that anymore. The greens were basically un-puttable. I know it's needed, but I'd like to know if they're not healed yet before I drive an hour to play what is normally a good course. Bunkers were not raked some parts of the greens were in really bad shape. This course is usually much better than this. I'll call ahead next time before I waste my time and money.
Good exprience
I've played here growing up and it is still enjoyable to clme back. Can't beat the value for the money you pay. Fun course kept in good condition.
Hard labor creek review
I have always heard good things about this course but it is off the beaten path. The driving range is old and in need of repair (leveling). The staff was very friendly and helpful. The front and back nines are different. I enjoyed the back much more due to the amount of sunlight and increased amount of grass on the t-boxes and greens. All and all I would recommend it to friends as long as they were in the area.
Great deal for the $$
Nice course, good people, unfortunately they have been inundated with rain and that has affected the condition of the course but still very playable. I look forward to going back. Don't play there after any significant rain.
Fun course
Very fun course to play. Staff was awesome. Played 18 and then went into town to eat at a place the staff recommended. Best wings I've ever had. The returned and played 18 more for $17 replay rate. Lots of elevation changes with tree lined fairways. Tee boxes were in average shape but greens were great. Can't wait to come back and play again
state park deserves better
Played this course for the first time, course is tight but plaued okay. Negatives: it 3ained the night before hard and course was too wet, but thet opened anyway. Greens were in bad shape, very hard and rolled very fast. We teed off at 250pm. And by time we finished 18 at 610pm, the clubhouse was closed. No signs nothing, just closed up. The only positive was the scenery.
Augusta bound
Chose to play here after we landed in Atlanta and drive to Augusta for a practice round at the Masters. The course was brown and had some places under repair but that did not affect play dramatically. Greens held well ask the putting was fine. There are some bare areas due throughout the course. From what I could find online I felt that we got good value. The layout was overall above par
Beautiful course
Beautiful rolling hill course with major elevation changes. Fairways and greens were in Google shape. Overall great course and would highly recommend!
Awesome Staff
Best Kept Secret in Georgia!! The course is in great shape, the greens are always nice, plays long if you need it to be, just a great golf course to play.
Wet, but fun
Took my son in laws out before they returned home from the holidays. The course was in as good a condition as you could expect for wet and winter. The staff was friendly and helpful. The course marshall offered friendly advice on shot selection for the wet (puddled) course. The course is fairly challenging with a lot or up and down tee to green holes and some narrow fairways. It was a great value for the money.
Beautiful course, great experience
Nestled in the secluded rolling hills of Hard Labor State Park, The Creek certainly exceeded my expectations this beautiful morning. The only noises that could be heard were those of woodpeckers and other animals foraging. The summer was rough to the greens at The Creek,as it was with most courses, but the greens have certainly made an impressive comeback. They were fast and smooth this particular day. It's a fun course that requires you to make shots. IIt's worth the drive
excellent greens
Greens were in great shape. Some tee boxes were pretty rough. Overall really great course for the price. Secluded, quiet, scenic.
Carpet Greens
Some of the nicest kept greens. Very quiet and picturesque.
Hard Labor Creek
This course is very hard fairways are extremely narrow and the greens are fast.If your a beginner you don't want to play from the white tees.
