This course will eat your lunch
Great staff, fast greens,You have to know how to place the ball on this course
Tough starting hole. Downhill dogleg right, over water, elevated green.
This is a Georgia State Park Course worth the drive. You will not be disappointed. Watch for deer.
The Creek at Hard Labor
Pace of play was a little slow as there were several groups who teed off just ahead of us. Course was in decent shape for this time of year. Greens were very firm and reasonably fast; there were some issues with poa annua and a few bare spots. Overall experience was good. Pro shop staff person was extremely nice and made sure we were well informed.
Great Course
Great Winter conditions. Well maintained and clean
HardLabor Creek
Cart path only. Not extremely wet. Greens are a little slow and gritty, but ok for this time of year. Tough but fair tract.
Nice Layout, Fast Greens
I like this course due to the fact that you have to use all the clubs in your bag. A few bunkers need to be renovated, the silt is showing under the sand in a few areas. Will play the course again.
Great value. Great layout.
One of my favorite courses on the east side of Atlanta. Course was in better than avg shape, especially for winter play. Staff always friendly. Clubhouse is going through renovations.
I just love to play all the state park golf course here in North Georgia
not sure what makes the state park golf courses so enjoyable maybe the fact there are no house on or around the course but in my eye that is a big plus or maybe that they are in a state park has something to do with them being so peaceful but i can say for sure that i enjoy playing all three here in North Georgia and you will too
A little Hily for Seniors
Too Long and difficult ofr Seniors. They need to put in new tees. Also very Hilly.
A great course for almost any golfer
The course was in really good shape considering it's January. The greens were super fast. The pace of play was great considering there were lots of golfers out on a Sunday. Everyone there - the staff and fellow golfers are always very friendly.
Hard Labor was in great shape, tee to green
Especially considering "winter conditions", Hard Labor Creek was in terrific shape, fareways & greens. It is always a very challenging course, with narrow sloping fareways, but the greens made it even more challenging. They were fast. My foursome was very pleased with the course conditions, and the very fast speed of play......................it was wide open.
Off Season Gem!
Another group was finishing the front nine as we started, otherwise the course was ours. Dormant grass, as expected at this time of year, but conditions otherwise like mid season. A fun and challenging course, pleasant staff and very nice, well stocked clubhouse.
the course has great features
love to play this course, every hole is a challenge for the average golfer I will continue to play this course.
This course was challenging but fun.
I enjoyed playing this public course as it had a lot of the featrures I find on some of the really challenging private courses. The greens were fast with very few straight puts, the fairways really made you think -- distance versus accuracy, hold up or go for it and the layout was awesome.
Greens are in excellent shape.
Greens are in excellent shape. Greens are very quick.
Best kept secret outside the perimeter
If you have not been out to Hard Labor - you are missing out. I have yet to find a more peaceful and beautiful course in Georgia, although I hear that Highland Walk at Victoria Bryant (sister course) is also stunning. Do yourself a favor and make the drive out. The course boasts the #1 hardest starting hole in the state of Georgia I believe - and the rest of the course is a challenge as well.
Course is challenging and scenic
The first hole on this course is ranked as one of the most challenging holes in the state of Georgia. Because the course is narrow or at the very least, non forgiving, for golfers trying to improve their game, it is a great "teaching" course. This course is scenic and the staff are always friendly and offer tips when asked. My friends and I play it as often as possible. Have a great golf outing!!!
Great course, extremely challenging
Beautiful course with a lot of changes in elevation. The greens are among the fastest that I have played.
Hard Labor Creek golf review
This course is on the more challenging side of the average golf outing. The course plays long, especially the 452 yard 16th hole (I play the whites). The first hole is a 426 yard downhill dogleg left over water to a raised green...brutal! They claim it is the hardest starting hole in Georgia...I believe them! The fairways are in good shape, no bare spots. The greens are pristine and fast! The course was designed by Dennis Griffiths who has designed many of the more challenging courses in Atlanta. ..You need to play all his designs! The scorecard is excellent with layouts of all holes pictured, and green designs. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The only negative is its farout location...but maybe that's a positive for those not wanting crowds.
enjoyed the country setting and condition of greens
Staff and course were just great, will play there again, fairways and greens were in good shape
