It overlooks the City Club Marietta Golf Club, an 18-hole golf course that dates back to 1915 and plays as long as 5,721 yards. The Hilton has two restaurants, Hamilton's for fine dining and The Pub for casual fare, and also has pool tables and 8 TVs for live sports viewing. I arrived at the course to find out the driving range was closed. Other than that the course was in great condition. Greens were fast but true. Hard to hold the green if you landed near the hold. Really need to think about going at the pin unless you are a low handicap golfer who can work the ball and utilize a lot of spin. Enjoyed the men I was paired with and the pace of play was great. We finished in 3 hours and 45 min.

I like playing this course. The course is in good shape, and makes for a fun round of golf. The members of the staff are very friendly as well. I'll definitely be back.
Worth it
Beautiful lay out. Greens need some work but puttable. Course is in good shape.
New greens
I had heard the new greens were an improvement, and they are. However I was surprised to see several already have large bare spots. The greens putt well overall, but the grounds crew needs some training on where to cut holes. Number 10 had the hole cut on a knob, and my putt stopped 4 inches from it and rolled back 8 feet.
Other holes were cut on slopes or at the edge of a shelf. The game is hard enough without tricked up greens.
Otherwise, staff was great, practice green was perfect, and range was well maintained. I’ll play here again.
Good track but greens need attention.
It’s an enjoyable course and a local favorite of mine however the greens could use a little attention. It’s not worth a full price weekend rate for the course quality. You can find much better quality courses in the metro Atlanta area for the price City Club is charging.
Nice but tight course
The course was in good shape except for a few spots on the greens. The cart was supposed to have GPS, but we got a defective one. I was disappointed there was no cart person and the restaurant was closed at the turn.

A course for beginners
I’ve played here a few times. It’s an old course with short holes. Fairways very close to the next hole and ppl slicing shots into you a lot from the next hole. Greens are very firm and It’s unable to stop an approach shot. I think the course is very overpriced for what It is. Five hour rounds is common. Marshall’s aren’t monitoring the pace of play. The course is ok for beginners but if your a good golfer I would suggest going elsewhere. I don’t plan on going back.
