About Jekyll Island
Jekyll Island is a state park and resort community situated on this island among the Golden Isles on the Georgia coast. It is notable to golfers in that it has 63 holes of publicly accessible golf and a collection of partner hotels and beachfront resorts. Golf here dates back to 1926 with the 9-hole Ocean Dunes course, designed by Walter Travis. Three additional 18-hole courses have since been added to the Jekyll Island Golf Club. Accommodations range from luxury resorts to smaller hotels. Options include the Beachview Club Hotel, Jekyll Ocean Club and Jekyll Island Club Resort. Pine Lakes Course fairways are really thin
Greens are in good shape but fairways are thin and approach shots in front of greens are sandy...Don’t try lo run ball up...fly it to flag..Nice bag guys and starter..

I have been going to Jekyll Island since I was 10. I love it! My favorite place. I have played all 3 courses lots of time and this was the worst shape I have ever seen this golf course in. They have had a really wet winter and it’s just a mud hole. Lots of wild grass on the greens was just sad. I’ll always love going to Jekyll but the golf was really a disappointment.

Coarse condition
It is a nice layout. Coarse was cart path only and quite frankly should have been closed for play. It was beyond wet. Because of so much rain it couldn’t even be mowed. At $70 a round it was beyond disappointing!

This is one of the hidden gems of Southeastern Georgia. A great layout; well maintained; tremendous pace of play; and the people couldn’t be any friendlier! I can’t wait for my next visit.
