Lanier Islands

I always love playing Lanier Islands golf course. The course course conditions are always great. The greens are quick, smooth and have very few non-repaired ball marks. The fairways are always in great condition along with the bunkers and other course conditions.

They have great practice facilities. You have a great view of Lake Lanier on most of the holes. There is always wildlife (deer, birds, etc.) which you see while playing.

I’ll definitely play again and recommend to others!

For this time of year the course was in great shape, green were rolling very smooth and pace was under 4 hours with them holding a tournament at the same time that we played. Staff was very friendly and accomodating. With all the rain that we received, they allowed 90 degree rule which for this senior was great. Some narrow fairways and windy most of the day kept us challenged throughout the round. Definitely would look to return again when everything is in bloow. Great background with Lake Lanier

I have played wonderful courses in the Columbia N.C. area, but so far none compare to the beauty of this course. Though tough and ate some of my balls, the views and the beauty of the course itself made the time and effort worth every cent spent to play on this challenging layout.

I try to play Legacy about every 2 months and it was cool and windy but absolutely beautiful by the lake. I can't say enough about how nice and helpful the staff was and always seems to be. Greens were in great shape and for a cold winter course was in great condition. The scenic views on this course make it seem like a vacation getaway. And the other feature is included with your fee is a lunch of hot dogs, drinks, chips and more. Definitely worth the drive with some very challenging holes.

Saw prior review for same day. We had a 11:36 t-time, carts lined up in order of times, we got off al little early & played right at 4 hours, pace of play good, no wait. Tee times managed well prior to noon. Greg in golf shop friendly on phone & in person, he wore a lot of hats, from running counter to replenishing concessions/snack area. Course in good shape, grass dormant this time of year, still had wet areas from all the rain, cart path only which can slow play. Would love to play when dry & in spring/summer when course is green. Fee covered entry into Lanier Islands, range balls, all food & beverage (exception alcohol). This said would not pay posted price, a little steep for me (Mr Frugal) but highly recommend if you can get a deal or you're not golfing on a budget. $32 shown is my part of a purchased fund raiser certificate

Rangers need to be out speeding up play today. Understand that due to recent bad weather that it was cart path only, but it took way over 4 hours to play today. Great facility, great deal. Ran out of food after 9 holes too, that was not good.

Do yourself a favor and play this course. Great layout, nice conditions and friendly staff. Amenities are awesome too.

If you can find a discounted rate, do it.

I have been good experience with this course every time I played here. The staff members are very polite and kind. The courses are well maintained and perfect condition. I had played with my customers from New York and they are so happy with this course. The money I spent with is well worth! Great job!

I have seen the course from our boat on Lake Lanier many times but I had the pleasure of playing the course today for the first time. I was impressed by the vistas, course condition and layout despite the colder than normal temperature. Tough course for my skill level, but I can’t wait to play it again.

Great course, lots of lake views. Played in a tournament out here and loved the course. Only complaint is that we only saw Lindsey on the beverage cart 2 times and that was after we called the pro shop. She was pretty rude to us after we called. Other than that, it was a great day and all the other employees were super helpful and friendly. Can't wait to play again now that I know the layout.

Let me start with the people who work at this golf course, are top notch from start to finish. Comp food and drinks at start of round and at turn was fantastic. Course conditioning as good as any tour event you see on TV. But senior golfers with any type on waking problem should no that this is a extremely hard golf course with many long walks from cart path end to green and many steep down hill / up hill walks to greens and fairways. Four par 4s are path only. Beautiful course I just wish I was forty not seventy to enjoy it.

Beautiful course with major elevation changes and holes played around the lake. Outstanding condition on the tee boxes and greens. Greens very fast and undulated. Very scenic holes, not the most female friendly course but fair. Free snacks and nonalcoholic beverages a nice touch.

Man this place is great. Like others have said, everyone of the staff I met was friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to make me feel welcome.

Plus free lunch and drinks. Come on! You don’t get that anywhere. Plus free range balls. Don’t know how they stay in business, but I’ll be back again.

The course layout was challenging and in great condition. So so great. Great track.
