Off the beaten track but worth a visit
I"ve played this course about 6 times but only during February as this is when I'm in the area. It's about an hours drive but the course is in good shape and the cost is fair. I normally play in the afternoon when it's not busy and play quickly. This time I started mid-morning and it took five hours to play. Not accepatable or fun. There was actually a sixsome a few holes ahead. The ranger was trying to break them up. I'll definitely return but only play in the afternoon.
Nice greens
This course always delivers a great opportunity to get better on my game will be back soon
good value
Was cart path only lots of rain the day before still fun wet shoes and all
Worth The Drive
Exceptional course with conditions that the majority of private courses could only hope to rival. Worth every bit of the 1 plus hour drive from my north florida home. I could only hope that north florida had a course like this. Thank You for a great day of golf.
Great day
Excellent conditions
Greens very nice but whew the pin placements for a Thurs were rough
Haven't been there in awhile so the bunkers were great to play out of. Not that hard compacted sorta sand from times past.
Always worth the trip from Jax, fl
Quiet Course
This has to be the most secluded course I’ve played
Greens are in great shape!
Fast greens and open fairways! Just wish they would get a beverage cart.
Most play
Weather was outstanding. Fairways/Greens in great shape. Cart-paths could use some repairs. I’ve been playing this course about 6 times a year. Worth over an hour drive from Jacksonville, Fl
Great spot in nature!
Course is located in a beautiful, secluded Ga State Park, an hour’s drive from the famous Golden Isles golf courses. Tucked away in the woods, serenity is the word. No highway, railroad or even aircraft noise. Golfers, and the birds! Fun course, challenging but forgiving. Staff (and volunteer workers) could not be more friendly. Same for the golfers you may meet (I generally play as a single). Try it, you’ll like it.
