Great spot in nature!
Course is located in a beautiful, secluded Ga State Park, an hour’s drive from the famous Golden Isles golf courses. Tucked away in the woods, serenity is the word. No highway, railroad or even aircraft noise. Golfers, and the birds! Fun course, challenging but forgiving. Staff (and volunteer workers) could not be more friendly. Same for the golfers you may meet (I generally play as a single). Try it, you’ll like it.
Great Georgia Park Golf Course
My wife and I both enjoy the course. The greens are great and consistent since being upgraded a couple of years ago. The tee block locations ensure that the course is fair for both men and ladies.
Really Nice Course!
Course is in relatively good shape. Cart paths need some work. Overall, extremely satisfied with course and round.
Great place to play
Staff is always very friendly. Busiest times are usually from 8-12. The course is always in good condition. Greens are usually pretty fast. I golf here very regular and will continue to play here.
The troll in the clubhouse
Course is quiet beautiful.always a hidden gem.but that same lady who insists on telling u about hot deal tee time an extra rider fee ruins it for me every time she's there I groan before meet her at counter.
Peaceful. Fun. Challenging enough!
Tee time 10:20. 2-some. Arrived 15 minute before tee time. Was told our time tee time was moved to 10:25. We watched a 4- some tee off at 10:20. We could have kept our time; 4-some tee off after us. 10:36 we still couldn't tee off.
Asked 4-some to let us go through. They areed.
We enjoyed playing 17 holes.
Moving us behind the 4-ome was unacceptable!
Great course
Really nice course. Greens were firm but rolled great!
Great Escape
This course is off the beaten path and that's great. No noise as it's out in the middle of a state park. Turf conditions here are excellent. The new Tiff Eagle greens have been filling out for some time and they are fantastic. Firm and fast. Fairways and tee boxes are beautiful as well. Plus beautiful scenery. Caught it on a hot deal and I will be back for sure.
ABSOLUTELY PRISTINE
EVERYTHING about the course was GREAT....EXCEPT the cups were too small...haha
Fun course. Rough is mean as you would expect from late summer Bermuda. Greens are excellent but very firm making approach shots challenging. Beautiful setting in a wooded state park, but have mosquito repellent in your bag. Nice little pro shop, but no restaurant, bar or drink cart, it is a state park.
great Friday round
It was a little wet, but to be expected after all the rain the last few weeks. Tee boxes and greens in perfect shape. Greens were hard and FAST! fast as i have ever seen them. Saw that they are raising rates by 5 bucks....I guess that is fair considering the shape the course is in right now. Keep up the good work folks! I will be back.
State course always a pleasure
Laura Walker State Course is always a pleasurable experience.
First the staff always welcomes you. Nice!
The tee boxes, fairways and greens are in great shape. The fairways are generous and plush. The greens are large and pin placements are challenging. Two puts are welcome, there are 3 putts out there, be careful
Enjoy,
Waycross Golf
The course was in very nice condition. The putting greens was a little slow but held great. I would definitely play this course again and invite some friends. Great staff!!!
Nice Play in the GA pines
Very fun course..only drawback is after it rains some of the dips in the fairway make for new water hazards. But overall a fun place to play and quiet like most courses in GA.
