Whenever I’m in Savannah I make the 50 min drive to play at least twice.

The fairways on the marsh are gorgeous and the 17th par 3 is probably my favorite hole on a public course. If no one’s behind me I take about 5 balls just to enjoy the hit over the marsh onto the protected green. Amazing.

Conditions were very wet, the fairways & tee boxes were fine, but the real problem is the greens. The greens were nothing but sand all of them terrible, this is no exaggeration, why aren’t people putting up real truthful reviews? We traveled 1 hour to get here & play on these greens, I’ve never seen it this bad & I payed $50. It will be some time before we come back, it’s a shame because we like this course 😞

Truly a southern gem that I will keep returning to for great golf and hospitality. A beautiful setting with memorable holes and a very charming clubhouse and patio/deck area that makes you feel like you've taken a step back in time. Attention to small details like toiletries available in the restrooms and freshly cleaned ashtrays on the patio tables. I appreciated all that as a post-round cigar smoker and beer drinker. A unique golf experience that will bring me back again and again.

For the price this course can't be beat. Greens are in very good shape and fairways and tees are also. Older electric cart didn't get through 18 holes and had to bring us another one on 16. Cart paths are all shellrock/gravel so riding on the grass is a bit smoother sometimes. Staff was wonderful course played quickly. Worth the drive!

Great layout beautiful marsh views course was in very good condition

Great beach course with no beach. Tucked in and around the marshland with great holes and scenic delight. Only downside is no course map available and spotty cellular signal depending on provider. Watch ALL of the flyover videos to familiarize yourself with the course before heading out.

Can’t wait to go back since I’m local and didn’t know this hidden gem was here.

Only negative was that the greens were a little slow and not need short. I’m pretty sure they did this to deal with the extreme heat we have everyday in mid to high 90’s. I’ll play this course again whenever I get the chance to do so!

I have played here several times. The layout and course environment are fantastic. Course conditions were excellent the each time I have played here this year. Greens were true and were as good as they get for public courses in South Georgia. Right now, i would play this course over most in the 50-100 public courses available to play in the region (great value). It is a great clubhouse—clean and nice environment. Well done Sapelo Hammock team.

First time playing here. Course was in great condition.

The staff demeanor is excellent including cart personnel and especially the receptionist (Christina). They go out of their way to be courteous and helpful. A big negative, especially for newbies, is the lack of hole diagrams on either the scorecard or on signposts. This needs attention as I wasn't sure of either drive direction or hazards on many holes. Also the "no cart" signage needs attention on many holes as carts will die for no apparent reason quite a bit away from greens.

nice course, wasn't too hard except for the par 3's which were the most difficult I've ever played (they were longish and not forgiving at all--if you didnt hit the green your ball was gone). Staff was super friendly. price was appropriate. no one else on course when I was there late afternoon. marsh setting was lovely

This is the 2nd time that I have played this course. My buddy and I were headed to pickup our kids from camp in NC and decided to find a course near I-95. I remembered playing here, for the same reason, a few years back and decided to try it again. It was great and I would love to play it more often, if I were closer. It is a cool spot, neat story, sweet layout and was in good shape.
