Sapelo Hammock Golf Club

First time playing this course. Nice layout but for someone from Washington it was a challenge with the difference type of grass and the humidity.

Was a great course to play. Everything was in great condition. The holes near the marsh were beautiful!

Good time playing Sapelo. Courteous staff, greens rolled true, nice practice area - every stand has its own alignment stick. Some wet spots in the fairways but that’s unavoidable when your elevation is a single digit. Both the front and back nine end on a scenic par three followed by a scenic par five, nice touch

We made the hour and a half drive up from Jacksonville and what a great day it was! We had a 9:39 tee time on a Sunday. Arrived around 9 and were greeted by nice pro shop attendant and range balls at no extra cost! Beautiful scenes around the golf course, which was expertly maintained from tee to green. Beware the Bermuda rough, especially this time of year. Some course knowledge definitely helps where that is concerned. Enjoyed solid chicken salad sandwich and cheeseburger in the restaurant post round. Definitely recommend making this a day trip! Hit downtown Darien on the way home for the brewery and Skipper’s seafood!

This course was beautiful, but we were unfortunate enough to book a tee time that ended up being in the middle of a thunderstorm. Since we had already paid and made the drive up, we tried pushing through anyway.

The lady working in the Pro Shop was very nice. There was a good bit of flooding on the course, and it was cart path only. The scenery was still gorgeous-lots of old, mossy oak trees and beautiful marsh views. There was a bunch of wildlife, deer standing right in the middle of the fairway and even a little fox running around.

I'm still a new golfer so the course was a bit difficult for me. It's also mma good deal more expensive than the courses I'm used to playing. I loved that there were unlimited range balls. The golf carts and scorecard seemed a bit outdated. I didn't understand the hole layout by the photos they provided but luckily I have an app for that.

Overall it was a great experience. I don't plan to play there again for a while unless I can get a good deal on the price or get much better at golfing. Glad I could mark it off my list though!

Played the course for the first time in a few years. There have been changes and the course was in the best condition I can recall playing here. The changes opened up a number of holes and I think for the most part, they are extremely positive. Greens were great. A great day!

This course is in excellent condition and is well groomed. The staff is very friendly. The scenic views are awesome. Great practice area with free range balls. This is a fun course to play.

Pretty strait forward course. The scenery is great. A few holes require some analysis before the right club is pulled and a few of the holes with water “in play” need some considerations. Overall really good course, plays well

I’ve been playing this course for close to a decade. It’s always been the same good conditions, scenery is nice, layout is nice. Sadly, they’ve made their rates ridiculously high. They’re pricing out average golfers.

I chatted with a couple junior golfers who said they paid $220 for the two of them on a weekend. If you want a bit of lunch at the turn, be prepared to take out a second mortgage on your home for a simple sandwich and chips.

Great course that has decided to do a total money-grab.

Greens just aerated & sanded, slower than the fairway if we putted there! THEY Should have mentioned the aeration when I made the t-time??!!
