About Sapelo Hammock Golf Club
Sapelo Hammock Golf Club is a semi-private golf club on the Georgia coast, about an hour's drive south of Savannah. The golf club and community has a small amount of guest accommodations onsite, highlighted by The Eagle's Nest, a two-bedroom unit located above the clubhouse and overlooks the Georgia marsh. There are additional two and three-bedroom units overlooking the 4th fairway.Facts

Overall great course!
I'll start with the check-in. The gentleman working the cclubhouse was very friendly and helpful. I hadn't playing this course in 15 years and he told me all the details about it. Next the practice ranges. Bery nice putting green. The best thing about the practice range is that the balls are complementary with your round! Next the course. I loved the layout. Very manageable holes mixed in with some challenging ones. I'm definitely going back there!

Low Country
Worth the 80 mile drive . I came down from the Bluffton Area . As we all know the Bluffton / Hilton Head Area can be over packed and beat up due to tourists . This course was worth the drive . Range Balls come with round . Tee Boxes and Fairways are in great shape . Greens were rolling pretty smooth and true . Water Buckets were out on the course as well. I would come back and play this course again. Pace of play was pretty decent . 18 hole round took a Twosome 3hrs 40mins to play @ 10am start. My favorite hole on the course was #17.

All greens are back!!
I've played Sapelo a bunch of times. Earlier this year, some (most?) greens on the front nine were in bad shape due to unusual weather in the spring. Happy to report that the greens have recovered and the course is in excellent shape. Always enjoy playing this course, don't hesitate to check it out!

Nice Course
The course is very well laid out with wide fairways for us somewhat errant direction. Greens suffered from a cold spell this past winter but are coming back well with great care. Due to sanding the greens are quite slow.
