About Sapelo Hammock Golf Club
Sapelo Hammock Golf Club is a semi-private golf club on the Georgia coast, about an hour's drive south of Savannah. The golf club and community has a small amount of guest accommodations onsite, highlighted by The Eagle's Nest, a two-bedroom unit located above the clubhouse and overlooks the Georgia marsh. There are additional two and three-bedroom units overlooking the 4th fairway.Facts

Charming
This is a charming course with beautiful views. We have played it several times over the years but this time the conditions were a little rough. Some greens have a lot of damage. The fairways are hard and around the green there is often very little ground cover making chipping difficult. The sand traps have great sand however. The price was high considering that other courses in the area are the same price with much better conditions.

Used to be better
I played recently after a three year lapse and I was disappointed. Many of the greens have a slick fungal illness unfortunately. Maybe it was caused by winter weather. The people there were very nice as always.

Sapalo
Nice layout for a relaxing afternoon of golf. Pace of play was good, under 4 hours.. A couple of greens were extremely wet and some were turning dark brown, esp. # 9. Overall a nice course and fun to play.

I always love playing this course. One of my favorite in the area. Absolutely beautiful. Greens are amazing Challenging shots. Great course. And plus free range balls and practice area with the round? Amazing

Great day on the course...
Loved the course today, as I do every time I play there. The greens were my only reason for not giving 5 stars for every aspect of the course. Front nine greens look like they are trying to recover from our extreme cold in late December and in January. Back nine greens were lush and in great shape...just needed a haircut. Well worth the drive and the price!

Never disappoints
Enjoy the course. Feels like you are the only one out there since the holes are so spaced out. Love the bluff and marsh views from many of the holes. Very beautiful. And the gators are always fun to see. Greens were inconsistent. Some grassy and slow, others were fast and lacking grass. But a truly enjoyable round, nonetheless. Staff very friendly and welcoming, too. A great day!

Good value for cost
I've plated Sapelo around 10 times. The layout is challenging even from the old man tees 5k plus. They have had a disease issue with 80% of the greens, but they're working on the cure. 4 of the greens were disease free, but punching twice a year is needed, the greens are soft . They need to get the maintenance done earlier, mowers we're out all day. Overall a good golf experience.

Good time at Sapelo Hammock
the course was in good shape, the greens were fast and the fairways were very good. The girls in the clubhouse were very friendly and nice. I will definitely play here again.

Walk among the Oaks
Outstanding layout. A group of Challenging holes mixed w holes that provide a opportunity to take in wonderful views of the SE Coastal environment. The greens were in great shape for the time of year and current weather trends.
