About Sapelo Hammock Golf Club
Sapelo Hammock Golf Club is a semi-private golf club on the Georgia coast, about an hour's drive south of Savannah. The golf club and community has a small amount of guest accommodations onsite, highlighted by The Eagle's Nest, a two-bedroom unit located above the clubhouse and overlooks the Georgia marsh. There are additional two and three-bedroom units overlooking the 4th fairway.Facts

Course condition
Greens were in great conditions and true. Fairway grass was extremely short.

Great Time
One of the players it was his time at Sapelo and he was taken back at the beauty of the course and the rate really surprised him. We had a great time! (also the golf wasn't bad either)

A Hidden Gem
I stay on St. Simons every winter and manage to play this course a few times during my visit. It’s about a 45-60 minute drive and not that easy to find, but worth the trip.
The course is challenging enough for a mid handicapper, in nice shape, and rarely crowded. The price also is very reasonable. I’ll continue to visit!!

Fairways need some care. Greens are in good shape.

great day for golf
Greens were rolling great, fairways cut right, was paired with a great partner.....played ver well for a 3 month layoff. Had a little trouble with my first cart, but that was a minor annoyance.

Good value in south GA
Absolutely love coming back to this course time and time again. Looks the Tee boxes were not over-seeded for the winter which was unfortunate but the greens were in great shape. Lots of fun to be had here and the staff are delightful.

Beautiful Greens
The greens were in excellent condition for any time of the year but especially great for the end of December. The rest of the course was in good winter rules condition. This is a hidden gem of a golf course in the area of Savannah and The Golden Isles.

Sapelo hammond
My daughter and I played New Year’s Eve 2021. We were paired up with a couple from Texas. We enjoyed the course and had a good time playing with them

Being helpful
I really like playing this course but on my last visit I arrived 20 min before my tee time. Their was one group on the course on the 2nd fairway. One group on the driving range they would not tee off for 30 min. And one player in the parking lot his tee time was not for 45 min. I ask if I could start and was told no “we are fully book”. I wait another ten minutes no other players arrive and I ask again if I could start. I was told again “ no we are fully book and please wait 20 more minutes” So 45 min after arriving with no other group teeing off I went off by myself. I understand the computer says the course is book but if no one teeing off and no one checks in their no reason I could not tee off. I played my round in 2 hours and 45 min. I would ask the manager to look into this I like this course but I don’t know if I will play it again.

Game
I play with my Grandson and we always have a nice time. A little off the beaten path but perfect for us as Grandson is a relatively new player and the pace is friendly.
