About Sapelo Hammock Golf Club
Sapelo Hammock Golf Club is a semi-private golf club on the Georgia coast, about an hour's drive south of Savannah. The golf club and community has a small amount of guest accommodations onsite, highlighted by The Eagle's Nest, a two-bedroom unit located above the clubhouse and overlooks the Georgia marsh. There are additional two and three-bedroom units overlooking the 4th fairway.Facts

Super Round!
The clubhouse is attractive and presents an historical charm. The course is a beautiful layout that includes multiple marsh views and well groomed fairways with homes set way back to bring you closer to nature. Greens are also well kept. This is a great value for the money!

Best course around here
Perfect day, perfect course conditions. Greens slick, fairways clean, tee boxes great shape and hardly anyone playing. We come here from Savannah on a regular basis because it’s the best course around this area and usually the least crowded,
It’s a 90 minute drive for us but we’ll worth it. We’ll be back soon.

Hidden Gem!!!
My first time playing here- recommended by a few that I play with at my club. It was about an hour away from me, and I will definitely go back!! I was able to go right off (earlier than my tee time) and started my round. It was so foggy that for the first 5 or 6 holes, I couldn't even see farther than 200 yards (was able to look at the hole layouts via iPhone app- thank Goodness). Layout was awesome!! Saw 2 alligators. Only reason for not giving it 5 stars is the condition of the fairways- they could use a little love: grass definitely needs to be cut a little and MANY divots that need some overseeding. The abundance of the live oak trees was really beautiful. It really was so serene, quiet and peaceful- you'd never know you were on a golf course!! I'll definitely be back to play there again!!

I will go back!
First time at the course. Good place to build confidence, with wide fairways and just enough challenges. Greens were surprisingly good given the time of year, course a little soggy, but it seems everything in the greater Savannah area is soggy this time of year. Really appreciated the welcoming nature of the dude in the Pro shop and the courtesy extended by the guys mowing out on the course! Might be considered walkable because it's flat, but there are some large distances between greens and next tees!

Gem
For the dormant season, it was in perfect shape. Didn't have to roll the ball once. Greens rolled great. Very cool layout with some great views. Carries off the tee are deceiving and make it look daunting, but aren't. Staff was great. Very nice course off the beaten path in GA. I definitely want to come back in the summer when it greens up. Huge value. Take a cart, seriously long distances green-to-tee.
