NOT ENOUGH WORDS TO DESCRIBE ON GREAT
Better than playing at Augusta National !
I have been playing this course for 15 years !
It is in the best shape it has ever been in !
Get all of your friends to try it out, it is my number one.
Fee is perfect for the value lets hope they keep it this way !
Layout was fine, greens had all been sanded
$75 for sanded greens. Every green had a huge layer of sand and no one in the clubhouse said anything. Layout was fine but greens made it a waste.
Fun course and layout. Just been very rainy and hot this summer at this location.
Great layout!
Really enjoyed this layout, lots of interesting tee boxes with different approaches/strategies on which club to pull. Only negative was how slow the greens were and some were not in that good of shape - more similar to a fringe consistency and made it hard to make putts. Really pretty course - would recommend!
Wet and sloppy
The course was in very nice shape overall, considering how much rain we have gotten lately. A couple of tee boxes are a little rough, and a green or two needs some love, but again, just a little distraction. Think you need to lower your rates....a little high for the location....hope to see some price drops as the weather changes....
Nice Course and friendly staff
I’ve been playing this course 2 or 3 times each month.. It is moderate length and difficulty, which suits me just fine. This time it was pretty wet due to the recent visit by Tropical Storm Debby. Some fairways were pretty wet but only one hole was cart paths only and the greens were in good shape. It is never too crowded and they always seem to be happy you came to play. While standard rates seem high, Golf Now and Tee Off discounts make it a good value.

Hello, USLPnMlBvfo5CZeklbvB. Thank you for visiting us at Sapelo Hammock Golf Club. We appreciate your 4-star rating and review. We hope you join us for another round soon.
Just didn’t deliver on Huge expectations.
Was looking for something different. Drove an hour from St Simons to play. Was hoping to find a hidden gem. Ended up find a course in which one hole was completely shut down due to water/flooding. I realize this is not owner fault. What was rather disappointing were several fairway in need of cutting. Also we got behind two guys that were VERY elderly and painfully slow and no Marshall on the course to get us thru or monitor pace of play. It was over 90 degree and made the slow play even more miserable. Lastly because it took so long to play we were gonna order lunch in the dining room but soon learned the dining room is closed on Monday.
The cart guy and the Pro shop attendants were both very friendly and couldn’t have been nicer.

Hello, u314159528967. Thank you for leaving us a review. We are sorry to hear your experience was anything short of 5 stars, but we hope you will give us another try in the future. Thank you for choosing Sapelo Hammock Golf Club.
Consistent, positive golf experience
Sapelo is a nice course that wanders through southeast Georgia’s low country. It’s about 40 minutes from Savannah but worth the drive. The staff is friendly, range balls are free and plentiful, carts are in good shape, practice facilities better than average. A few houses are on the course but they don’t come into play.
There has been quite a bit of rain lately but the course restricted carts to paths on just a few holes. This time I saw two gators sunning themselves by one of the ponds.
Always a good experience and good value playing at Sapelo.
Thank you for the review, hlwhitak! We're glad you enjoyed the course despite the rainy and hot summer. We hope to see you back at Sapelo Hammock Golf Club soon!
