Pleasant afternoon of golf!
Really like the course layout. Interesting without being overwhelming! Nice folks and good pace of play. Will likely play it in the future when I visit the island.
Excellent course
Had a great time playing with 2 members that showed me the course.
Excellent conditions! Top notch staff!
Overall very enjoyable.
Probably played here 15 times over the years. Always enjoyable, and a nice change from hillier courses in Georgia (like mine). Moved up a tee this year and really made a wise choice without losing a challenge. The 2 longer tees are beyond me now. Don’t be fooled by the published yardages; the course can play longer and picking a non-ego yardage ensures more enjoyment. Incredibly peaceful on most parts of the course (some home construction and maintenance going on) and the 3 holes on the island out in the marsh is a unique and beautiful experience. You are in real nature out there. Also, a shout-out to the outside staff who were very helpful. Course is in solid shape and will improve with warmer/drier weather. Bottom line: play it!
Beautiful layout
Great variety of holes required many different shots. Visually top notch. Greens a bit slow but very challenging.
Hadn’t played here in quite a few years but wil definitely be back!
Beautiful course
I have played the course many times and enjoy the marsh views. Unfortunately slow play was a negative. Pro shop should attempt to pair up twosomes.
Layout
The course was in amazing shape but if you are a golfer who enjoys hitting the ball over 250 off the tee you will not find that opportunity here. The course is EXTREMELY tight off of the tee and has overhanging tree limbs. Basically the only option off the tee is a low straight tee ball, no high cut or draws. There were many holes I had to hit hybrid of the tee and then hit a long iron because of sharp doglegs at ~240/250 yards. Greens were immaculate and course was beautiful, just not my type of course.
