The King & Prince Golf Course winds through the mature forests and vast salt marshes that are located along the northern coast of St. Simon's Island. The beautifully preserved surroundings offer a glimpse of the native wildlife, which includes ospreys, woodpeckers, and bald eagles. The course offers stunning coastal scenery and a challenging layout. The layout features a more open front nine with more sand while the back nine is characterized by the golf course's trademarks, four island holes that were carved from small coastal marsh island and accessed by elevated cart bridges. Numerous marshes and the vast Butler Lake make an appearance on seven holes. Golfers can warm up before a round on the expansive putting and chipping greens or the driving range, which is equipped with five target greens.

The course was nice, but

The Course was nice, but it's very far from the resort. We thought it was beside the King's and Prince's resort. Overall, the course-to-play cost here probably isn't the best value.

Fun experience

Course and clubhouse soon to undergo major renovations but both still in good shape. Greens smooth and fast, tee boxes and fairways also good. Encountered one slow group but otherwise good pace of play on a Saturday afternoon.

Golf now

Today I played this course. I found it a good course in great shape. The problem I had was I booked on golf now. The Total give to me was not the price I had to pay. There was a small note on my booking. It stated there was a 30.00 fee per person for golf cart. But the total on golf now was $30 less. I find this a bit shady

When I see a grand total I believe that. This was not true. So be careful when booking thur golf now. I hope this helps other golfers.

Very pleasant

Staff was very friendly up front. Range was nice even though it was irons only. Pace of play and course was in great shape. Beverage cart was great as well. Best greens I've played on in months I'm sure the best ones on the island. Look forward to playing it again.

Worth the chilly wind for the views

We got a good rate on Golf Now for this course in the winter. 12-15 are truly unique and worth the money. Not many people out on a cold day so we were able to go off whenever the tee was open as a two-some. Pars could be easily achieved as long as you concentrate on where to land your drive. Greens ran true.

Superb Course

The King and Prince iis my home course. My home is on the 17th tee box. I have been a member here for 25 yrs. My only complaint is that the fees for guests should be lower for members family and friends. Our employees can play more reasonably than our grandsons! The Golf Now pass is something I use when traveling but it shouldn’t be necessary for my home course.
