Great stretch of holes
The course was in great shape. We played the back tees and it allowed you to hit driver but manage on holes with the layout. Used every club in the bag. Greens were receptive and true. Layout was cool in the marshes on the back nine. Built in the middle of no where! Great experience and playing again tomorrow. As well, my driver was fantastic!
Great course, staff behind counter not
Always a great course, design, tee box and fairways alway plush. Greens are true and fast. Marsh holes are outstanding. Rick the manger is an outstanding manager and always has a friendly greeting. That is more the I can say about the person behind the counter to checkin today. Rude is the word. Informed us to not stack 15 carts up on the first tee and clutter up the place. Must have been having a bad day. We play often and K&P is our favorite on the island...nothing but respect for the facility and staff. We always have a good time and show the facility the respect it deserves, which is highest quality. Today started out with a bad taste.
King & Prince golf is exceptional
Best course on the island for value and condition. Always in exceptional condition with fast greens. Staff are both friendly and like the play
Winter in Paradise
Gorgeous day for golf—sunny and cool—at this special course. Great blue heron, snowy and great white egrets, and wood storks festooned the trees around the lakes, and semi-submerged anhinga swam in them in large groups and dried their outstretched wings on the shores. The conditions on front and back nines were as usual in impeccable shape, despite the frequent rains over the past week. The spectacular marsh holes are especially challenging, but always the highlight of the back nine. Get out and play at King & Prince!
First time at Kona’s and Prince
The green were fast and true. The course is beautiful, particularly the back nine street through the marsh.
KPGC
Everything great except lady at reception and no starter, no instructions which cart to take, if we would play with someone else. The lady could have explained more before we left the pro shop as there was no one else to direct us.
Marshy and sporty
It's just 6,400 yards, but King & Prince is a solid golf course. It starts off nice but relatively standard for the coastal Southeast: live oaks, nice housing set back in the woods for the most part. But it's the stretch of holes 11 through 15 that give the course its appeal. The latter quartet of that stretch sit on their own island dredged out of expansive marshland, meaning you'll get a burst of beautiful scenery for a crucial hour or so of your round. Rick Mattox and his staff help extend that high with their friendly, unfussy service.
Chilly day
For islanders, the 50s are pretty chilly. But it was a gorgeous day on a gorgeous course. The tee boxes, fairways, bunkers, and greens are in perfect shape, but watch out for those fast greens. The only downside today was the slow pace of play, thanks to a foursome two groups ahead, who kept everyone standing around. The groups behind them barely finished before dusk. But slow pace rarely occurs at King & Prince and when it does you get to admire the beautiful vistas.
Go and play!
Great course, great layout, great views, great condition=GREAT TIME! Pace of play was the only negative but when you’re playing with your dad it wasn’t too bad! Go play!
Excellent shape
The course is in excellent shape and the greens are beautiful. Very fast.
Beautiful Course
This course is very beautiful and extremely challenging particularly the greens, which were very fast. The view of the marches on the back nine is extremely beautiful.
Great course
K&P one of the best courses on St.Simons Island. I highly recommend it.
Chilly and chilling
Our second trip this week to King and Prince. As always, the tee boxes, fairways and greens were in excellent shape. We played in the afternoon as the days are getting shorter, but the pace of play was excellent and we finished in bright daylight. We are looking forward to playing again very soon.
King & Prince is an outstanding Venue
The King & Prince golf course on the north end of Saint Simons Hampton Point is my favorite course on the Island. The tee boxes, the fairways, and greens are all superb! The restaurant and golf staff are super. The greens are both soft and fast. They roll true. always my first choice!
Nature trail
An extremely beautiful course, particularly on the back-nine marsh holes. Conditions were splendid. There was some puddling from recent rains on the edges, but the fairways were clear and and greens perfectly manicured. Lots of wildlife today, including several alligators (one a whopper), flocks of ibis and wood storks, gaggles of egrets, sightings of hawks and osprey, and several braces of deer. Don't miss playing at King & Prince when in the neighborhood of St Simons.
Singing in the rain
Although there was a steady light rain for about 10 holes, the superb conditions on the tee boxes, fairways, rough, and greens made our play an even steadier pleasure. The members of our threesome often commented on what a beautiful course the King & Prince is. Our favorite place to play.
