Fantastic course
The course is reasonably tough, and in great condition. I love the mini-Verdi greens, the are firm, but receive shots very well, and they roll absolutely fantastic. This is probably in my top 12 courses. We played early, a great 3 hour round. I’m playing it again later this week. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I’m a huge fan.
Great course
Outstanding golf course...conditions were great...ball sat up nicely in the fairways and the rough was forgiving...greens rolled true and the speed was great...plenty of challenges but friendly enough to enjoy...also, very friendly course for women..my wife played along with me and thoroughly enjoyed the course...if the wind is blowing into you and the green is elevated (even slightly) take at least one extra club...we will definitely play it again next time we’re in the area...don’t pass it up!
Outstanding layout and views, fast, true greens
King and Prince is off the beaten path. on the North end of St Simons Island and offers a quiet game of golf with friends. The views are outstanding, from the nice clubhouse, woods,, marshes, water, and green greed grasses on fairways and greens. The course is in excellent condition. Play it!
I will be back every chance I get
Very friendly staff to start with.
The course was almost perfect. Fairways were very nice, plush to firm fairways. Greens were hard to read for me but speed was fast and easy to judge....just hard to read the break. The grass was different then I have played. Maybe Kentiucky bluegrass around the greens, wider blades, nice!.
i will be back every chance I get for the price especially. My favorite course so far around St Simons area.
Always fun
Was a bit breezy, made the marsh holes a bit trickier than usual but over all it was a great day and played 18 in under 3 hours.
Love This SSI Course
I visit St. Simons Island each April for the month and try to play King & Prince twice per week. . The course is in great condition and the scenery on the back nine is magnificent. This is a great course to play for all levels by adjusting the tees you choose.
great place
as always the course is a great walk to see the wildlife and play under excellent conditions
Still my favorite course
I drive 90 miles from Jacksonville to play this course about every month and its the same great course and facility every time. Each hole is different - deceptively challengiing. - greens fast and true and fairways/tees in great condition. Plus the setting is peaceful, quiet and always meet great people when playing here. *** Bring bug spray - doesn’t matter if is January or July - this is ground 0 for mosquitos but if you spray with Off, you’ll be fine. I’ll keep coming back to this great course.
Wonderful course
Played for second time and must say course exceeded my expectations. Great design. Challenging and several holes over marsh. Course is As good a value as I have ever Played.
Great Layout, Panoramic Views, Very Friendly Staff!
Had an excellent experience at this course. A few unforgettable holes, fantastic memorable views, very good conditions, especially for early Season! Greens rolled true and fast IMO. Challenging but fair, fun test.
The winds can trick you, swirling, dying down, then starting up again ... plenty of water to get your attention, but still have bailout options.
I was able to walk out and play 30 minutes before my tee time which saved me time for my drive home!
The Pro and staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. To top it offf, I got a great rate on GolfNow!
I highly recommend this course!
Enjoy!!
Gorgeous course
This is my favorite course in an area with many fine golf courses. It has some challenging holes balanced with less difficult areas, which provides a fun experience no matter your level of skill. It is a popular course and can be difficult to book through GolfNow at a range of times during the day. I play there as often as possible.
???
Rained out after 5 holes. Staff would not offer a rain check.
Good course to play
Nice course layout...bring your bug spray as half the course goes through some setlands area
Another Great Round
I’ve played here 4 or 5 times now in as many years, and this course never disappoints. The fairways and greens are always in excellent condition, and the course layout is one of my favorites. I highly recommend playing here if you are in the St. Simons/Jekyll island area.
A gem on St. Simons Island
Beautiful course with a layout that will test your shot making ability. Be sure to select the correct tees since there are plenty of tee shots that require substantial carry over lagoons or salt marshes. The greens were in good shape for Feb. & are very undulating, therefore creating various cup positions that you must consider when hitting your approach shots. Just reaching the greens here in regulation won’t guarantee a par if your ball wnds up out of position on an unfavorable poetion of the putting surface. This course requires a round or two just to get to know it since there are many doglegs that keep the pin hidden until after hitting your tee shot.
Best of St Simons North
Loved the colurse. Staff is very friendly and the pro-shop is so well stocked that my wife wouldn't leave. Staff had to open the bar for me to enjoy a beer while madame was shopping ah!ah!
What time did you play at? That seems a little crazy.
