Scenic Course/Wildlife abounds
It had been 16 years since I played here. It's a fun, tight track with some real nice scenery and wildlife everywhere. Good condition. Cart paths need lots of work. Only complaint would be in the clubhouse, if you buy anything at the bar and use a credit card there's no way to add a tip on the receipt. So bring cash, and DEFINITELY bring your bug spray!
Great course
The course was in fantastic shape and the staff was very nice and helpful . Upon arrival we were greeted and introduced to everyone. Very nice experience.
Always a great course
K&P is a great layout and the greens were running at a 10 on the stemp, so putting was a test when a lit of the public courses off island run 7-8. Worth the price on golf now.
Best Public course on the island
This was my third time playing The King and Prince course and, as usual, it did not disappoint. The layout is probably my favorite of any course I’ve played, and it is always in excellent condition from tee to green.
Beautiful course
Played the course on a very hot day but really enjoyed the round. The course was in terrific condition and was quite beautiful.
Awesome Scenic Island Golf Course
Love this course from when it was the Hampton Course years ago. Since the King & Prince took it and gave it a needed makeover, it is much more playable for the mid-handicapper, but still as scenic as it always was. Beautiful landscape views of the island marshes frame a very well laid out course. Wide open fairways with good greens make it an enjoyable course for vacationers. I try to book a round here every time I come to St. Simon's Island!
Great track
Would recommend to anyone. Friendly staff and super beautiful course.
Wow
What a magnificent golf course. I guess I'm probably country come to town, but the conditions were perfect. The fairways were plush, the greens rolled true, (maybe a little slow) and the rough was just enough to be a penalty, but not ruin your round. Great experience. I played with some locals who gave some course knowledge, saved me at least 4 or 5 strokes for hidden water hazards. Will play again!
Awesome golf course
The golf course was in excellent condition. The greens were very good and putted true if you could read the line of the putt. Loved the 3 holes in the marsh. Definitely my favorite course to play on St. Simons Island.
King and prince Hampton course
Booked early, course was in great shape , greens were excellent, better than the last time I played there , will definitely play there again.
Annoying flies
Course is great. Few of the holes have a fly problem which is distracting but overall great course and value.
Great Course
Course was in incredible shape. Greens were running perfectly and the fareways were in great shape as well. Staff were very friendly and prices in the clubhouse were fare. Only complaint is the quantity of horse flys on the course. Had horse flys swarming me on every hole which was very annoying. They can't control those bugs though which is why I rated the course so high. If you have the chance, go golf there.
Location Listed is Confusing
The address through Golf Now is 100 Tabbystone, St. Simons Island, GA. However, the actual address is 180 Rice Mill, St. Simons Island, GA. I think the original course closed (part of the King and Prince Beach (and Golf Resort), and opened 25-30 minutes away in a residential development.
Other than the frustration of trying to find the course, it was a decent layout, great pace of play. Nothing extraordinary.
Great despite the rain
Picked as our first course in the area. First nine felt a little rushed as the 4 ball behind were playing the front tees and seemed to be playing greensome foursomes. Or they may have been trying to keep ahead of the rain. It really came down and we had to shelter on the 13th for a good while. After it eased the fairways held some water but the greens looked and played like they did before the rain. Oh, and the deer flies were a nightmare, but can't hold them against the course.
