Amazing
First ones to tee off, so pace of play was perfect. Greens were absolutely amazing, course was not crowded at all. Be careful with morning tee times as the frost is really setting inup in the mountains.
Amazing course as usual, will be back!
Tight and hilly
Course is in good shape. Greens hold shots. Keep it in the fairway.
Nice track
Nice course that requires some golf shots. Some holes are narrow and will eat up an errant tee shot. Greens are great for putting. Some of the pins were put in some humorous positions but great course!
Greens are in the best condition in years!
If you haven't played Innsbruck lately I highly recommend you give it a try. The greens and tee boxes are in great shape. Ladies, you will like the placement of the red tees. Beautiful views of the Fall leaves and mountains from many of the holes. Challenging in some spots but very fair.
This course is much fun
Wonderful time, Great course in good condition.
Green were very good
Every hole is a golf adventure1
I loved my first round ever played at Innsbruck and am already looking forward to the next round there. What a great course!`
Beautiful mountain course.
Tough for a novice , but worth it. Good condition with a few bare spots in the fairways. Greens especially difficult. Lots of slope in many. I enjoy it.
Lots of hills
The greens were excellent. Some bare spots on the fairways. Overall a great course.
Best it's been in years
I play Innsbruck about once per year. It's a fun, short, challenging, up & down course. I generally play in the fall and not the summer, so it was great to see the course all green and filled in.
It is not long but don't let that fool you. It is very challenging. Lots of uphill holes. You must manage your game and play 'point to point' on many holes. The greens are very challenging, although they weren't especially fast when we played. They were in good shape. I like fast greens in general, but at Innsbruck, if they're too fast you will be in big trouble. It's very hard to hold a putt on many of the greens.. i.e., a missed 3 foot put can turn into a 25 foot put from the fringe. Lots of undulation.
Overall the course was in as good of shape as I have seen it in years. Stay in the fairway and you'll be ok. It was a great bargain and well worth the day trip to Helen from Atlanta. Also, new carts with GPS really help a lot.
Coarse is in great shape
Staff was friendly greens are in great shape you have to get off the tee well to score well. The views are beutiful
Challenging Course
I have played this course often in the past but not recently. The course was in good condition - greens were excellent. Innsbruck demands accurate tee shots. An errant drive is probably a lost ball and stroke penalty. The course has a lot of elevation change and most greens have some undulation. It is a fun course to play, but be sure you have enough golf balls in the bag.
Great price special on Golf Now.
Great little mountain course
Overall the course is in great shape! The greens were as good as any I've played in the Gainesville area. They have updated to new carts with GPS. The staff was very friendly, in fact they gave us a better rate than I signed up for on golf now. We are senior players and he gave us that rate and saved us money!! I will play there again soon!
Potentially great course
This course is very hilly, with many narrow fairways surrounded by forest. It used to be a "best courses you can play" many years ago, but it is not maintained that way. The greens were in good shape, but there were too many poor or dirt areas in the fairways. Great value as the price is reasonable.
July outing
My husband, son & son in law had a great time!! The food was really good.
Excellent Views
This course had tiered holes. You might be 100 ft up on the tee box and played down to the flag. Fantastic views. Greens and fairways were in great shape.
Tough little course
Tough course, must keep your ball in play or be prepared to have a few extra sleeves handy!! Mountain course with lots of elevation changes and tough holes. Favorite hole is the par 3 15th hole, it has a 200+ ft drop from tee box to green!! If you are around Helen make sure to bring your clubs and play a round!! Great and accommodating staff to help you out with any problems you may have, would rate 10 stars on customer service if GolfNow would let me!! Make sure to plan at least 30 mins for a lunch break, sandwiches are freshly made to order, and has a full bar if that is your pleasure!!
Mountain great one
Excellent layout. Fun course. The wife really likes the course. Not a long hitter and can reach a lot of greens. Not a back breaker.
A mountain course at it's best.
Nice course for a day Trip or weekend Trip
This course has nice features and was fun to play. The fairways were a little rough but other than that a great course!
Thank you for taking the time to post a review and we are glad you had fun here at Innsbruck!
Specifics
The course is in a beautiful setting. For the most part it was in great shape. As a golfer, if one is not controlled, i.e., hooks or slices, it will be a long round simply because the fairways are quite narrow. The greens were just fine. The biggest drawback is the cart paths which were more than bumpy due to tree root intrusion and lack of maintenance. however, it is a worthwhile play, and I would play it again.
We are glad you enjoyed your round! Thanks for posting the review and we hope you make the drive up from Flowery Branch to see us again.
Narrow and Hilly !!
Although I normally drive the ball only 210-220 on flat courses at sea level, I played from back tees and really enjoyed the course. A number of tight driving holes and lots of up, down and sidehill lies in the fairways. Played on a morning after a night of hard rain and course was very playable although carts restricted to cart paths. Be sure to club up on uphill shots to greens because ball can come rolling back if you are short. Some nice deals in pro shop!
We are glad you liked the course. Thank you so much for taking the time to post a review, and we hope to see you again next time you're in North Georgia.
"A mountain course at it's best" is what we strive to be, so seeing your review has made our day! Thank you for taking the time to post and we hope to see you again.
