First & Last time playing here
Heart breaking because the course has some awesome views and great elevated tee boxes but even if you do manage to stick the tight fairways the greens are just awful. We’re talking par 4’s cut in half and pins in the middle of the fairway bad. Putts looked like kick ball pitches, no cart girl, pace was a joke. Place could be great one day but until then spend more elsewhere. Owner should be ashamed.
Innsbruck 2025
Greens were terrible; crabgrass and dead spots on almost every green. They had at least one temporary tee box and at least one temporary green, but did not relay that information to us. The pace of play was awful and no one monitored it; it took almost five and a half hours. Will not be returning.
Could be better
Staff friendly, course pretty nice w great views. Some fairways a little narrow but it’s not ment to be an easy course. The conditions of the greens were horrendous, not sure what happened here! If they can get them back then I would recommend the course with a higher rating.
rundown
course was not well maintained all greens had at least 25% bad areas some were more sand and dirt than green. golf carts were very delapidated. nothing was said about cart path only but cart kept shutting off and had to back out. at turn we mentioned this to golf shop attendant his answer was huh will not go back
Innsbruck August 17, 25
The pace of play was terrible and no one monitored it the whole round. There were temporary tee boxes and greens they didn’t tell us about. The greens were in the worst shape of any greens I’ve ever played.
Save Your Money
I’ve played a lot of courses around Atlanta and the mountains of North Georgia. This course has lost green to dirt and weeds. Honestly this is the first bad review I’ve ever done on a course. Will not be back.
Life changing
Alright, here's a quick guide to writing a solid golf course review:
1. Start with the Basics: Name the course, where it's located, and the type of course it is (public, private, resort). Mention the overall vibe right off the bat – was it fancy, laid-back, challenging, scenic?
2. Describe the Course: Talk about the layout, the condition of the fairways and greens, and how well the course is maintained. Were the bunkers well-kept? How were the tee boxes? Note any standout holes or unique features, like water hazards, elevation changes, or signature views.
3. Assess the Difficulty: Is it beginner-friendly or better suited for experienced players? Talk about the length of the course, the tightness of the fairways, and the green
Horrible condition!
Played this course in 2017 and was very impressed. Played it yesterday (March 21, 2022) and quit after 9 holes. No grass on fairways, just bare dirt. Only green grass was on greens and they were in horrible condition. It was obvious no one was caring for the course. This is a mountain course and the caution signs regarding warnings of the steep slopes were difficult to read due to neglect and peeling paint. Most of the cart paths were in such poor condition they were actually dangerous on the steep slopes. Course has obviously been abandoned yet they still charge. The only positive thing I can say is the young man in the pro shop was very friendly and the carts are great. Don't waste your time or money!
Mountain Course in need of some TLC
Course has a very unique layout with plenty of elevation changes and many unique golf holes. However, the course's overall operations / conditions need improvement. Never a good thing when you do not find out the 18th hole is closed until you get to the 18th hole. Based on what I was charged to play, this is not acceptable. Furthermore, I counted five holes where the back tees had been abandoned (one, the 13th hole was understandable based on the idiotic design / slope of the cart path - when wet that had to have been SCARY), the others I didn't understand and it goes to the general lack of upkeep.
There are positives, the course has several really fun and unique golf holes: 5th volcano par three (better hit the green), 9th (tight/ challenging tee shot that opens up in the fairway), 15th the elevation changes on this drop shot part three is one of the largest I have played.
I hope their conditions and communication to their golfers improves as the course could be very good.
challenging layout, rough around the edges...
challenging layout, rough around the edges, on a couple holes there were areas in the first cut of rough that were bare rocky ground. So you just keep in the fairways, which were in good shape. Some of the back tee boxes were closed off, some of the tees were moved up closer than listed on the scorecard, but unless you're a scratch golfer, you probably won't mind this. Construction work on structure off left side, hole 18 fairway somewhat encroaches on the playability of the hole, not sure why this was allowed to happen...
Really fun course, great layout
This course never disappoints. There are so many fun holes that make you hit shots other than just pulling a driver and swinging away. If you can keep it in the fairway you won't have a bad lie all day. The elevation changes are worth the price alone you but this course is always fun to get out and play.
Very nice.
This course was in great shape. Loved playing it again. Fairways and greens were great. Greens in best shape I’ve ever seen. Can’t wait for tomorrow to play it again.
Horrendous Conditions
We read some of the reviews thinking that that course would be super nice. When we arrived it was an absolute train wreck from the beginning. The driving range is barely there and the tee times were super unorganized. The only reason the pace of play was good is because people had learned from past experience and made sure to never play there again. The course was in such bad shape that most of the time hitting off of cart path would have been a nicer lay. Would never go back and wouldn’t recommend spending a dime at this so called golf course.
Wonderful experience
My husband and I played on a Saturday. It was a very hot and sunny day but the course had beautiful shaded cart paths. Each hole was private, greens were good and we saw two black bears walking across two fairways! We loved playing this course and will be back!
I will go back!
Great course. Fun in mountains! The course is in great condition with the exception of some areas from the flood a few weeks ago (no fault of the course of-course). I wish the driving was more updated with target flags at various distances for example. But overall I really enjoyed this course and I will definitely be back in he future.
Rough gem
This is a beautiful piece of land that has a course built through it. Everyone should play there for the scenery. Unfortunately I don't think the owners are putting any money to speak of into the course. The cart paths are really rough and they have definitely had some serious damage from the recent floods and rains. Having said that, still go play.
Great views,
I always enjoy this course, but after 14 inches of rain the previous week it was a little rough in places. The greens were terrific, will play again.
